There is nothing to dislike about Skipton, it is a pretty market town, lots of boutique type shops, lovely wine bars & coffee shops & welcoming pubs.
Everywhere we went we received a warm & friendly welcome. The places we ate were cosy and good value for money (Woolley Sheep) and romantic and special (Le Bistro)

Beautiful town, lovely shops, bars, pubs and restaurants.
Lovely day attractions to visit at reasonable prices.
Recommend visiting Hesketh Farm and Billy Bob’s ice cream parlour.
The shops and pubs are a short 15 car ride away. We booked a taxi without issue.
The cottage has a folder full of leaflets, information for restaurants, taxi, takeaways, attractions etc.
Beautiful scenic walks close to the cottage and nearby. Canal trips 30 minutes away and the lovely Skipton castle.

Accommodation was first class.
Looked exactly as on booking.com
15mins walk along main road from station or a leisurely 15mins along the canal bank.
Lovely shops, cafes and pubs.
Street market on and people were just so friendly.
Skipton much bigger than we expected so we'll be back to finish the castle woods walk and have afternoon tea on one of the boat cruises.
Also a very dog friendly town.... What's not to like about that. 🐕
We arrived early and was given a free permit for parking during our stay. The car park was only a short distance from the hotel. Is called coach St parking near the canal. The host Richard was friendly. Michael was so hard working always with a smile. We had a 2 day stay and each day our room was attended too. Great Central location for all amenities. Room spotless. The breakfast was brought to our room due to covid measures. Skipton is a lovely town with beautiful shops, eating places and the castle. We had a lovely evening meal cruise .
Very clean, comfortable room and en-suite. Also had small kitchenette and dining space ideal for preparing drinks and snacks - also spotless. An ideal arrangement part way between room only and self catering. The hosts were very welcoming, and helpful with local knowledge if required . The property is on the lower floor of the hosts home but has a private entrance so a perfect arrangement.
From checking in to checking out, the staff politeness and friendliness was amazing. The hotel is set in a fantastic location to walk into Skipton centre, literally a few minutes. Also set beside the canal which was lovely. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. Cooked breakfast was lovely with plenty of options to choose from. All in all a fantastic stay and will definitely return.
The room was beautiful. It was so cozy and beautifully decorated. Perfectly cleaned and tidied daily.
Debbie was a lovely host.
The hotel was in prime position just a w minute walk from town where there's plenty of pubs, restaurants and shops.
We'll definitely be staying again during our next trip to Skipton
A very pleasant relaxed small hotel. We stayed in one of the recently refurbished annex rooms across the courtyard. It was very comfortable and quiet. Staff were friendly and efficient. The hotel is located in the centre of Skipton just a short stroll away from the castle and canal area.
Really nice hotel. East to find having never been to Skipton before. Ample onsite parking. Modern hotel will all the facilities. Good rooms. Great bar and restaurant. Food was top notch. Nice beer garden out the back too. Would definitely stay here again.
Lovely entrance hall very quirky which we love fresh flowers from the garden very welcoming.
Room was decorated to a high standard
Comfy bed with quality linen.
Hotel next door serving amazing food
Very good location quiet yet short walk to centre of Skipton
Lovely location. Just 15minutes Walk along canal to centre. Lovely spacious room overlooking the canal. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice addition of the pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. Good value for money. Lovely breakfast overlooking the canal
An absolutely great place to stop off at. The staff are welcoming, the food, beer and winner are great. The room itself was quiet, the bed was really comfy and the shower was nice and powerful. We will be stopping here for all our Skipton visits.
This is a lovely property with stunning views and very spacious ,the welcome basket was a nice touch but problems with the shower in the main bathroom that’s been like a couple of years according to the comments book ,
needs sorting !!!
Excellent location for the centre of Skipton, everything was walkable from the hotel. Parking was free and car was not required as everything was walkable for town centre. Room was spacious, clean and well maintained.
Location, know Skipton very well and chose this hotel for the location and had previously visited this site for a hen do around 12 years ago which was a lovely then, so thought it would be good to stay.
Nice hotel , walkable to Skipton on the canal , Hotel is dated / needs investment but overall is clean / tidy
parking is decent , swimming pool is ok ! reasonable price for what was on offer !
A lovely property located a short walk from the centre of Skipton. We were 4 adults with dogs and it was ideal for us (I think you would struggle to seat 6 adults comfortably in the lounge).
The house was beautifully decorated. Great location about a 6 minute walk into the centre of Skipton, plenty of off street parking , if no parking spaces left at the hotel.
Lovely place to stay.
Excellent host, very accommodating.
Spotlessly clean room with lots of little touches to male the stay more comfortable.
Wonderful breakfast.
