Not much going on and fairly remote the menu could have had more variety and would rather they had really casual informal dining in the lodge with the marina being the formal dining experience it was
The lodge was clean and comfortable rooms spacious and spotless food was excellent the views and marina was very picturesque ideal for boating enthusiasts great place to chill
Marina restaurant was closed for evening meals
Relaxing by the fireside
The complex road in places where 2 vehicles have to pass each other especially when you have to go off the tarmac into pot holes isn't right. Needs rectified ASAP.
Marina still feels under development/building site. Food in restaurant was very poor value. We sent first meal back as flavours and textures were awful. They didn't charge us but weren't very happy about it so we felt somewhat uncomfortable for the remainder of the meal. Waiting staff were atrocious with exception of one Scottish lad who wore a trainee badge. He was very helpful and friendly.
Interesting location. Lovely staff on front desks. Great room and bathroom. Liked the relaxed atmosphere in the lodge.
Very helpful staff. Early check inn permitted when we turned up soaking on our bikes.
Comfortable and beautiful setting. Could have stayed for longer
Beautiful location and fantastic facilities at a very good price.
Wifi wasn't great at all Lack of amenities - not a lot to do although this was good for a couple of nights to unwind from city living. Suggested walks in the woods felt unsafe and were ridiculously overgrown despite being described as "Easy" on the newsletter - we returned looking like two homeless people - seriously soaked to the skin and itching from all the beasties... more for the serious mountain hikers I would suggest!
Quiet, Relaxing Getaway Friendly, helpful Staff Amazing Food Very Clean Extremely Comfortable Decent Shower Lovely Room
No choice of restaurants or shops, The cottage had many faults, that we itemised and handed to reception, ie.the dishwasher was in a disgusting condition and not working.
The escape to Tarbert by ferry.
when we went at dinner for the Chinese buffet we were very disappointed as the was a lack of choice and food ran out then a long wait for top up
we did like the studio it was really nice and so clean and everything looked new plenty of space we had a dog with us and he settled in well
This is a very attractive destination. A beautiful drive from the Ayrshire coast and Western ferry. Such varied accommodation. all excellent. Have stayed before. Food very good.
Balcony room with no view Below-par food in restaurant Uncomfortable bedclothes
Location was very picturesque and peaceful. Rooms were lovely and spacious and very clean. The staff were very pleasant and helpful and we are looking forward to going back someday
Friendly staff. Enjoyed the buffet.
Bed too soft
Signage at certain points was lacking. Not clearly marked from Ferry entrance. Ie the lodge where we were due to stay.
The location and spacious rooms Cleanliness. Staff took time to address our needs.
standard of rooms and location
Attention to detail and the service
Lodge room was lovely,Meal in restuarant was lovely, staff were really pleasant,a great chilled out place ..
I booked a family room which was advertised as a double and single bed. We booked in, then went out without checking the room and on our very late return found it was a double bed only. Had to sleep with my 79 year old mum!
Location and self service breakfast. Easy to get to and the ferry to Argyle was only a few metres away.
Shower very poor! Food at the restaurant dreadful! Considering there are scallops caught in the surrounding loch the chef unfortunately was unable to do them justice! Tainted by a burnt pan and drowned in sweet chilli sauce which wasn't on the menu! Poor! Fish dried chips and dried up crushed peas not appetizing what so ever! Will not venture there to eat ever again!
Loved the room! Spacious, comfy king size bed, lovely pillows! View stunning!
Didnt like room had bright blue light on key card reader very bright green celing escape light flashing green lights on tv modem even when it was switched off noise from outside fan with window open Bedding embossed in pattern scrachy to sleep in pillows poor qualty food in resturant was poor maybe because it was a sunday stay had three fish dishes all had bones in them poor breakfast was good breakfast staff (grumpy eastern european)poor maybe they are not morning person we needed a early start wont stay again rather than luxury i feel style over substance i guess no one from the staff has ever tried to sleep in the room we had
checkin staff and evening food staff in the lodge dutch supervisor/manager building style leaving
The breakfast room was also a lunch/evening restaurant, but you could smell the cooking of fried fish, the oil it lingered through the restaurant, not pleasent
The continental breakfast choice was good, with various breads and meats
Fantastic location, friendly staff, excellent food at marina restaurant, beautiful and very well presented surroundings
Restaurants and bars lacked atmosphere and had a very clinical feeling. Staff not very friendly or helpful. Lack of privacy on decked area of studio flat.
Lovely location, rooms immaculate and views beautiful.
