Located in an unspoilt area of natural woodland just a little way down the road from East Looe, the Monkey Sanctuary has received worldwide praise as the only place capable of breeding Amazonian Woolly Monkeys outside of their habitat. 25 kilometres away, the Eden Project gardens in St. Austell are open year round, where you can explore the largest rain forest in captivity. Also in St. Austell is the Cornish Market World, Britain's biggest indoor market with over 300 stalls and a diverse range of goods on offer. A little further away is the Lost Gardens of Heligan, located in one of the most mysterious estates in England. After years of being left to waste away, these gardens have been lovingly restored to their former glory and are a must see attraction. 7 miles away in the town of Liskeard is Paul Corin's Magnificent Music Machines, a museum for organs and pianos. 60 kilometres away in Launceston is Trethorne indoor and outdoor leisure park, complete with golf course (voted the best 2 for 1 golf club in the country in 2001) and various other activities for a perfect family day out.

Very good position overlooking the beautiful estuary at Looe. The view from the dinning room was lovely. The whole hotel needed updating, grubby torn carpets, pieces of plywood covering a window, shabby foyet. Helpful reception staff but not at all professional. Good breakfast. I could not face using the ensuite shower it was cold cramped and covered in plastic lino with mould on. |

Staff were very helpful The hotel is stuck in the 50's/60'S. We had one of the renovated rooms and still it felt like I was staying at my nana's house. At £125 a night I didn't think this was good value - you're better off staying at a b&b a little bit out of town. |

Excellent location and watching the harbour activities from the balcony. The ensuite was old fashioned, too close to the bed and had an ill-fitting door. The toilet and shower cubicle were tiny - sitting on the loo you virtually had to put your feet in the shower cubicle. The washbasin was outside in the room, in front of the window, and for a 'superior room' the layout was a bit strange and facilities dated and disappointing. |

view of harbour from room and also dinning room. pleasant and helpful desk manager. Spent £12 to park car overnight in carpark and then told at reception desk that they had vouchers to park cars that they give to guest. It should be advertised on website or we should have been notified before our arrival! |

Wonderful view ver the river and the town from river facing room. It's a pity there's a steep stair at the entrance which paces the laundry room. |

Lovely position, right on the quayside. Rooms small but very clean and comfortable. Nice shower room, spotlessly clean. Bit old fashioned. Breakfast could be improved on - not much choice and not much quality. This hotel is fine as a b&b but would not have wanted to pay full price as we had a buy one night get one free offer. |

friendly staff and clean comfortable rooms. Hotel is in a good location with easy access to other attractions. Quite noisy in the evenng but this was more to do with other guests that hotel mangement. |
