Portbyhan Hotel

Very good position overlooking the beautiful estuary at Looe. The view from the dinning room was lovely.

The whole hotel needed updating, grubby torn carpets, pieces of plywood covering a window, shabby foyet. Helpful reception staff but not at all professional. Good breakfast. I could not face using the ensuite shower it was cold cramped and covered in plastic lino with mould on.

Excellent location and watching the harbour activities from the balcony.

The ensuite was old fashioned, too close to the bed and had an ill-fitting door. The toilet and shower cubicle were tiny - sitting on the loo you virtually had to put your feet in the shower cubicle. The washbasin was outside in the room, in front of the window, and for a 'superior room' the layout was a bit strange and facilities dated and disappointing.

Location, views, confortable room, parking facilities.

Lovely position, right on the quayside. Rooms small but very clean and comfortable. Nice shower room, spotlessly clean.

Bit old fashioned. Breakfast could be improved on - not much choice and not much quality. This hotel is fine as a b&b but would not have wanted to pay full price as we had a buy one night get one free offer.

Quite noisy in the evenng but this was more to do with other guests that hotel mangement.
