How welcoming the staff were. The meals in the restaurant were very impressive and the waiting staff were impeccable. The decor of the hotel was quite dated however it is due for renovation at the end of this season which from looking at the plans displayed in the hotel looks like it will be totally overhaulled. Which is a shame as it did hold a lot of character. |

The personal service, efficiency and pleasantness of staff, nothing was too much, the gentle and calm atmosphere, all this is missing from lots of hotels these days The fact that the hotel is being replaced by a modern version, a lot of customers who have visited for years are not going to return, it was touching to see that the staff, especially the waiters had built up a good rapport with the regular visitors and that is unusual in this day and age, an era that a lot of people want to return to is going to go when the hotel closes. |

Friendly and helpful staff, superb views, good food Rather dated decor, although I actually liked the art deco feel, and hope the proposed update will not lose this completely. Hotel is a bit isolated and the bus service is poor, whilst taxis are very expensive |

The hotel was clean and comfortable. Hotel staff friendly and helpful. Wonderful location, what a view. Deep, deep bath which was excellent. Hotel cat Simone a sweety. Wish weather was better but that was not the hotels fault. It has been said in many of the reviews but the interior of the hotel a bit dated. Saying that it was clean and comfortable. With the hotel being closed for refurbishment and restructuring, I think they have taken that one on board. |

A very well run hotel, all staff were excellent, breakfasts were great! The evening restuarant staf were very professional but over the top with attentiveness. I know that we are getting used to poor service in the UK in general now, but this is one extreme to the other and a shock to the system. Some older people probably like this attention! Only one PC in the lobby although free, could do with a few more. A fridge or mini bar in the room would have been nice. |

its in the countryside and close to the portelet common (u can appreciate this only if u are a nature lover) and very good bays - portlet bay and st brelade's bay (good restaurants). also relatively close to st aubin's (30 mins walk) (more good restaurants). |

I liked the old fashioned charm , the staff were both very attentive and friendly ther was always someone around if you needed them. Being a smoker I thought the arrangeents for smokers very acceptable. |
