The food was very good and presented in an attractive way. They even took the trouble to arrange breakfast fry-ups in an artistic way. Bar and restaurant are both atmospheric and pleasant places to eat. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The scenery is quite spectacular. If you don't specify sea-view when booking, you will see virtually nothing of the sea from your room - possibly just a wall or the car- park. Partial sea-view is really trees and a sliver of water.

Ideal position, very helpfull staff, food excellent in Brassier, also for breakfast there was very good, choice, cooked breakfast was excellent (not greasy), The bedroom was of good size. Bathroom & shower, perfect. T.V. & tea/coffee available. No complaints at all. The only minor niggle was, The orange lights on the front car park, shone into our bedroom thro the curtains, all night. I suggest they are put on to a timer device to switch off @ 23-00hrs

Our stay lasted three days. We were attending a wedding at a hotel nearby. Because of this, we did not have dinner at the hotel. However, the breakfast was excellent with fresh toast and good quality tea and coffee. The hotel represented very good value. It has character. It is clean, comfortable and well run. The staff worked as a team and this was evident by their interaction with each other. Our room had a marvellous sea view and this added a great deal of value to our stay. Our room was clean and the towels in the bathroom of good quality. It is always good to have tea and coffee provided in the room with a large kettle too! We particularly liked having a teapot. One small thing. We would have preferred to have had mugs instead of cups with the tea things in the room.

Location is good, staff friendly. I found it incredulous that the hotel, that was full, bar one single room, did not put the heating on for the water untill 5.30pm!! Had to wait untill 6.30 every day to have a bath/shower - not good George!!

A great hotel. jasper our 'mine host' was very welcoming nothing too much trouble. Only critisism if any was the coffee was a bit stewed at breakfast, apart from that an excellent place to stay, very near the main attraction for us was the Eden project, well worth a visit as was the lost gardens of Heligan. would recommend and stay there again

a friendly reception on arrival. our room had spectacular views over carlyon bay, the room itself was comfortable, tea and coffee making facilities were appreciated, There was plenty of free parking at the hotel, Access to the coastal path was across the private road outside the hotel, with lovely walks. The bed was a little too firm for me, and a room fridge would have been handy,,
