Size of shower unit.
Everything, great location, easy to find and get around from. Close to castle, shops, restaurants and buses. We sat and enjoyed the sounds of the Edinburgh tatoo from the room bonus.
slamming doors :(. the residence should learn clients to hold them
Location adjacent to the Grassmarket and castle is excellent
Great location for festival -
This is basically student accommodation at a very high price. If you have a private kitchen, it is about half size of apartment. A lot of impracticalities - no bedside light - cutlery and crockery not easy to get to if you are small. Noise from street. No TV.
everything very good
We were a group of friends so having a room each was great. Having kitchen and sitting area was very useful Location was excellent
Beds were a bit hard and no mattress cover
Very close to Edinburgh Castle and Royal Mile. Safe neighborhood. Great price. Nice en-suite.
Was in town for the fringe festival - excellent location for getting home quickly from all of the old town venues. The rooms are arranged in "flats" with a shared kitchen/living area, which would be really handy for a group of people travelling together, especially if staying for longer.
Shower cubicle was tiny. The trick to locking your door should have been explained at reception when you checked in. Quite expensive for what you get, but that is expected in Edinburgh in August.
The rooms were extremely hot, even with windows open. The rooms smelled unclean. My room was never serviced.
Comfortable accommodation at reasonable prices; convenient location for many fringe festival locations.
That we had everything we needed in the apartment, the location was great, staff were friendly.
Pillows weren't great. Apartment was a bit warm.
How the girl who received the 1st (day 21 in the evening) treated me when, after seeing the room, I called attention to the fact of not having two beds, as had been requested, she began to speak loudly to me and to say that the Booking is he had to give me this explanation. It turns out that there is no information on Booking on the existing bedding in this apartment. I also found it extremely expensive to pay more than € 371.38 for two nights in a basic apartment, in which neither the shutters closed and there was noise everywhere and rainwater dripped through the ceiling of the toilet and fell on top of the toilet.
Location is best especially during term time. Good wifi.
The place is operated by Unite. This is student accomodation. During the Edinburgh festival it charges very high prices, but no different from other areas. I don't know what it is like for a student. I had an ensuite room. The design was very poor. The kitchen about the same size as the bedroom. Uncleaned cutlery and crokery. Light was not working when I got the flat. Large windows mean that you are visible from the street. Do you like a TV in your room? There isn't one. But you do get a large vacuum cleaner.
Great location near bars and the sights Friendly and helpful staff
10am checkout too early
- price was a good value for fringe festival -clean -
-some patrons kept slamming doors -cleaning woke me up some mornings.
Location was good.
We were situated in flat 703 which unfortunately was right near the VERY noisy lift. The bed in the flat was so uncomfortable due to a sag in the middle, both my husband and I never slept much during our stay this was both due to the sagging mattress and the noisy lift.
Location Facilities Friendly staff
The bed was lumpy, uncomfortable! Worst nights sleep ever! I had read the reviews and thought people may have been exaggerating, I now can see why! Terrible!
Location, room had all essentials needed for a short stay, own bathroom, comfortable bed.
Pillows were a bit lumpy. Noisy doors
price and location
reception staff couldn't have been more helpful and welcoming/ rooms spotless and comfortable
no bedside table or bedside light no tv or radio
I took a studio which had a double bed(ish), kitchen with microwave, fridge, oven. This accommodation is not for you if you want hotel luxury, but single accommodation in such a great location is hard to find. If you are out from 9.00 - to 12.00 (as I was) It is perfect and great value (I am 64)
Location was excellent. Accommodation was spartan but adequate for my needs. Staff were charming and helpful their lives would have been easier if visitors had full information (see comments on what I didn't like).
Misleading info - 1) I only learned there was a surcharge for paying by credit card when I arrived 2) Check out time was 10 am latest, according to the notice at reception they did not open till 10 am, which seemed tricky as I wanted to leave my bags for a few hours, in fact someone was on duty by 9.30 so I was worried unnecessarily. I was in the basement, decidedly whiffy down there, wouldn't want to spend long there.
Came up during the Festival to visit daughter and enjoy some shows. Rather enjoyed the 'student' life. Room was perfect for the visit. A great view too.
Being very picky the shower although it mad a lot of promising noise was a bit feeble!
