we had to get up early before breakfast started so we were given a packed breakfast. the food was dreadful cosidering how much the room had cost. we asked if they would start breakfast earlier as it was the day of the great south run but they refused. there was a lot of runners and exhibitors staying that needed an early breakfast but this was not catered for. this was very disappointing as it meant we had no breakfast at all.
The restaurant was excellent food first class and service first class The beds are very comfortable
The rooms could do with a bit of updating we were a bit disappointed in the deluxe room for the price we paid
The bedroom was good & the bed was very comfortable & the biggest bed in any hotel room ive stayed in, which was excellent. Staff were all pleasant & breakfast was just right. All in all a very good stay.
Parking and location good. Service hit and miss food also my steak fine my husbands tough . Breakfast pleasant enough . Good nights sleep no noise despite road nearby
Coffee really bitter. Both mornings even after jug of water. Service not fantastic.
The overall pleasantness of staff and the location where great.!
Location of room, problems with noise from above and outside smoking area at night. Cost of wifi in the rooms considering the cost of the stay I feel this should have been free in the room as well.

Clean rooms and very comfortable beds. Superb English breakfast to provide a great start to the day!
room with an amazing view comfortable beds good sound proofing facilities excellent food excellent exceptionally friendly and helpful staff
cleanliness in pool changing rooms and restaurant floor/chairs could be better free wifi only in lobby
Pool and sauna Ample rooms
Too far Expensive cafe and restaurant Pillows not that good
King size bed was great
Room was equipped for disables. Verry major Gala Ball was under way and was obtrusive to guests not participating and as a result there were no car parking spaces.
Easy to find and close to the city
Dont like the fact you have to pay for wifi when in the room
I don't think it is acceptable anymore to be expected to pay for WI FI, this should be part of the package.
Ideal location friendly staff May even stay on our return in February
The noise from the road was dreadful but noise rises so nothing could be done t Mo alleviate this.
Quiet location comfy beds breakfast
Big room with two queen size beds (can afford to have an argument with the mrs ;-) Panaramic views over the industrial estate =/ (beautiful sunset though - get a west facing room) Contemporary Aesthetic BIG breakfast!!
Outside looks like a 70's Office Block but a nice surprise when you walk into something completely different. Parking busy in evenings - not clear that guests DO NOT have to pay and display (give the receptionist your reg no. and its free) Location not the best - but head to Port Solent for dinner (3 mins drive)

All was good
Spacious room with wonderfully comfortable bed
Buffet breakfast was not as good as other Marriott Hotels stayed at in this country
Squeaky bathroom door. Slow clearance of room service trays
I loved the lay out of the hotel and the room was very nice, spacious and comfortable. The first young girl that served me at breakfast was very pleasant and helpful. However please see below.
I didn't like the service we received from numerous staff members. Such as when I booked I made a request to have my room near to a friend of mine. When I asked about it their was apparently no record of this. Despite the website having a request box. Also the bar service was extremely slow, there was only one waiter out in the bar and by the time I had waited 15-20 minutes to be served another male waiter then came out. The reception ordered a cab for us which was estimated as a half an hour wait. After an hour and 5 of my other friends not being able to get a straight answer from reception I decided to give it a go. But when I asked they had no recollection of the cab being booked or through what cab company. It finally turned up an hour and 10 minutes later so we ended up being extremely late to meet for a friends birthday. I was then having breakfast before I checked out the next morning. A shot of orange juice was £3 and I mean a shot glass. I asked for another glass of juice to be told the buffet was closed and I couldn't get one while I was eating even though the bar was open. My friend requested to pay for her bill and was told one moment by the same gentleman I am mentioning below and then took 20 minutes to come back despite her being in a rush as they needed to get back. She ended up going to the bar to pay. And then I had a young male who was dressed in a suit so I'm assuming the restaurant manager who kept coming over to our table. He asked about 2 receipts left to pay I told him one was mine and the next thing I know he was asking me to pay for my bill bearing in mind I was in the middle of putting my food in my mouth. I said I would like to pay by card, so he went off to get the machine and was back minutes later hovering around me. I put my knife and fork down mid meal to input my pin and he then decided to apologise after interrupting me. This was a bit too late at this point.
pay for wifi. the leisure club atmosphere invades the restaurant area and makes the air very clammy. when ordering a daily telegraph, a copy of the times arrives, small point but quite annoying
Huge Bed Excellent Breakfast
They charge £15 for using wi-fi for 24 hours and should be ashamed of themselves for such blatant profiteering.
