Spacious comfortable room Food was very good and breakfast was great
Had a lovely stay, very comfortable, exceptionally friendly staff and a delicious breakfast! Many thanks!
Lovely clean and friendly place - nothing was too much trouble and the food was excellent too. Also very comfortable beds
A real shame that the Inn is situated on an A road which made it so noisy in my room, luckily my parents had a lovely room overlooking the gardens and fields at the back.
Very friendly staff, interesting menu choices both evening and breakfast and very enjoyable.
No water pressure at all in shower!
Staff were all very helpful, friendly and attentive, food was very nice.
The place is in need of some renovation and there was a vague smell of stale smoke throughout the building.
The superior room was very spacious and quiet for sleeping. Loved not having to climb into the bath to have a shower.
We thought it was expensive
Very helpful friendly staff
the food was excellent and staff very friendly and helpful
The room was really big, comfortable and clean. The age of the building means the room had real character (including a very slight slope in one part, which was quirky!). Although just off the main road, there was absolutely no noise and we slept well. The pub itself was fine for a coupe of drinks (we didn't eat there in the evening but the breakfast was very good). We booked on the day of arrival and got a brilliant deal too, half the price of many similar places in the area.
Relaxed atmosphere and an exceptional breakfast.
Room was a bit tired.
not much I got what I paid for
to noisy at 10 30 at night to be expected as this a pub and bar
Lovely staff, good value for money, good food and drinks, great facilities. All in all great place to stay.
very comfy room food amazing, staff very helpful
The staff was really friendly, the house seems quite old so the floor squeaks a bit and the walls are quite thin. The bathroom seemed very new and nice. The food was alright. Everything was clean and I enjoyed my stay very much.
Staff were friendly and obliging.
Dinner was over priced and cold. The meat portion was small with a smear of sauce and the potato dauphinoise very poor
The staff were extremely friendly, the food was fab, and the general feel of the place is very charming.
The room and furniture in he room was very dated with limited to facilities.
Great staff, great food, great price!
The staff were very helpful and friendly.Although the weather was not good, the Portway was situated in a lovely location.
It was all good except the weather!!.
The room was lovely. Nice to be at the back as road was busy. Beautiful beams. Bed was really comfortable. Food was well cooked and the portions very generous! Staff approachable and friendly.
The electric shower was not really up to modern standards although hot water plentiful.
Food. Staff sort issues really quickly and with good grace.
Tatty, noisy from road or from bar etc. Rooms need upgrading. Web pictures selective so quite surprised at quality of interior.
I was made immediately welcome and the freshly cooked breakfast in the morning was the perfect start to the day
There was nothing to dislike
Location and the Curry - one of the best I've had.
