WiFi poor, new pool cues required and lights over table.

The bed was very comfy, the food was excellent, so many choices too and nothing was too much trouble. The staff were really friendly and the view at the back was lovely. I'd go again. We really had a great time.

The TINY wash handbasin in room 8. You needed to be a skinny midget to use it. The boiler is a bit noisy and as room 8 is next to it, we got more than birdsong in the morning!

Friendly, helpful staff. Good food at good prices. Warm, comfortable rooms generally good value.

Bathroom door did not close. This has been pointed out before in other reviews but nothing been done. It is quite poor that the hotel seems to think this is acceptable and has ignored it.

Good location - friendly staff - food was quite good - friendly locals in the bar - ideal for exploring beautiful Herefordshire.

Kitchen doors always open, right by entrance corridor, not always a welcoming aroma. Towels were thin and well used.

Nice size room. Comfortable bed. Had a good night's sleep. Dinner was lovely.

Breakfast was on the cold side for me. Toast on the main plate. Had to hunt for side plates.

Relaxed & friendly atmosphere. The ongoing improvements are excellent and future stays will get better & better. Cooked breakfast very good, orange yolks to eggs (X 2) evidently free range & bacon fat free. Room excellent and good hot shower/en suite. (stayed in the converted stables) nice views, allround a good stay.

Staff, food, bar and convenient location.

It was obvious that the property was undergoing a re-vamp, which did not interfere with our stay. The finished results of dining room, sitting room were excellent. As time goes on I am sure the rooms will be up to the same standard of the finished work so far.

Visually attractive building; friendly, efficient and effective staff; excellent food.

Traffic noise - but not a problem once inside the building.

The evening meal was superb. The best steak I have had in a long time.

The Portway Inn has a superb kitchen!

It was very friendly, really excellent food. Stayed in room 12 adjacent to pub which was a very large room very warm, clean and comfortable. Staff very friendly and bar prices not over the top. Excellent breakfast. Would definitely return when next in area.

Hot water took a while to come through in washbasin

Good food, confortable rooms & friendly staff.

It was noisy under our room due to dining area having a wooden floor. Chairs & tables being put away after an evening party went on for over an hour. It's a polite note not a ''proper'' criticism!

Food in the restaurant was excellent. Service was warm & friendly.
