Potters Heron Hotel  

It was absolutely diabolical, the worst hotel we have ever stayed in. The food was atrocious, tasteless, overpriced, unappetising and wrong! The shower in the bedroom would not turn off and a gentleman serving in the dining room had to come and turn it off for us, even he had great difficulty, the corridors stunk horribly (likened to baby sick), All in all it was a shocking waste of our money. Very very disappointed.

this hotel was exactly what i wanted and would hope to stay there again in the future. a nice welcome on arrival a very nice resturaunt good food and service staff were very polite thank you .

Dated rooms, no free wifi in rooms, brown water comes out of taps when first turned on

A comfortable friendly hotel close to Romsey and the New Forest. I would like to have stayed longer.

The staff were extremely friendly - particularly the welcome we received on arrival. Conscious that there were two Christmas parties being held that night we were given a different room away from the function rooms which was appreciated. The breakfast was excellent.

We ate in the hotel restaurant on our first night - the food itself was extremely good and plentiful although we felt it was a tad expensive (£50 for two meals, one desert and two drinks) and sought to eat elsewhere the following evening.

I wanted a quiet and comfortable location and the Potters Heron was ideal.

For us the location was suitable, The rooms were nicely decorated and comfortable, the bathroom needed attention . The reception area was warming and staff on arrival very pleasant. The adjoing restaaurant was acceptable, and the manager couldn't of been nicer and went out of his way to please.

The gardens and the outside needed attention. The area for breakfast was very uninviteing and never enough, or choice, of food, very poor.hopefully that will alter as it really let the place down.

The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff was brilliant, I got all the information I needed when I checked in I.e contact numbers, important times etc... I was extremely pleased with how they achieved a special request that I asked as it was for an anniversary. I would definitely recommend!

The only thing was that when we checked in, we got offered an upgrade for a little bit extra from a continental breakfast to full English, when we arrived for breakfast in the morning, we sat down and had some toast and waited for quite a while for the cooked breakfast, when I asked the waiter about it, I got told they didn't have any record of us having a cooked breakfast, I was very disappointed with the communication between the front desk and restaurant as In the end we missed out on the breakfast, but otherwise had an excellent stay.
