Lounge and Eating Areas were excellent. Along with the Wi-Fi service in room and lounge areas.
Bed was comfortable and the room was a comfortable temperature for sleeping. Decent WiFi. Pretty exterior.
Breakfast was cheap nasty and soggy. TV system was extremely minimalistic hardly any channels and it was very slow.
Being locked out at midnight for about 10 minutes. It took repeated calls to get the night porter. Apparently he was in the kitchen doing a sandwich but his phone has no signal there. A slightly disappointing end to our day.
Friendly & helpful front desk. The room was spacious & well furnished. Breakfast was on the good side of adequate.
The hotel is looking a little tired and could do with an upgrade. The extractor didn't work in the bathroom.
Room was a good size and bed was comfortable. Some attention to the bathroom is necessary as corners were grubby and there was some mould in places. Easy to remedy but a lot of places don't seem to bother.
Restaurant looked nice. My daughter anr I ordered chicken but 5 minutes later we were told they were out of chicken. My daughter then ordered risotto but just before they were about to serve us they told us they didn't have the cheese for this dish. Why weren't the waiting staff made aware of this at the start of the shift. Menu was over priced and portions were quite small. Would stay in the hotel again but would eat elsewhere.
every aspect of our stay was fine, the hotel is clean, comfortable and relaxing, staff were friendly and professional, food and drink was good although not cheap.
Great location, warm inviting room
Needs updating in places
The rooms were well decorated and spacious.
The breakfast was disappointing, extremely average.
Great Location, Excellent food evening meal was outstanding.Bed linen very high quality, Very helpful staff especially the restaurant manager. overall a very pleasant stay.
Very tired bathroom, in need of proper refurbishment, to include a towel rail. As with most hotels need to learn to cook sausages properly so they actually look cooked! (Petty I know but I see this in a lot of hotels)
staff were very nice and helpful, food was very good, rooms lovely
rooms very warm, to warm for us,
Nicely appointed room.
Slam doors on bedrooms - impossible to close quietly. Single glazing to window. Thought our bed had been moved outside when 'dawn chorus' started. Bar food very average. Service at breakfast poor.
Very friendly welcome on arrival. Food as ever excellent.
Shower needed maintenance - annoying drip
- location - food in the restaurant + breakfast was great - staff was very helpful
- rooms (especially the bathroom) need a renovation. -quite pricy
Resturant was excellent
Bathrooms could do with updating
Lovely hotel with a very warm welcome. Bed was so comfortable and facilities were great. We ate in the restaurant that evening and food was lovely and the service was efficient. Good selection of food for breakfast.
The location lots of trees very natural, good pubs
The hotel has a very appealing external image which is reflected internally. Rooms were clean and adequate for my needs. Ample tea and coffee making facilities in the room with very comfortable clean beds. Soap, shampoos etc in the bathroom added to the list of extras. The staff were very friendly and helpful in all areas including the adjacent bar / restaurant, greeting me with a smile which does help. Overall a value for money hotel with all the extras. I will stay there again.
I didn't like staying for one night ,I would have liked to stayed for more
staff size of room bed comfort
The receptionist Sandy.Lovely lady. She gave us a room upgrade and was very apologetic about the first room we were in. We were about to leave, but she convinced us to remain. Glad we did. Also, the bar and restaurant. Warm contemporary decor. Good atmosphere and really nice bar and waiting staff. We were made to feel welcome.Food was passable too.
Room 12. The room we were booked in to. It was on a lower ground floor and it smelt of damp. Also it was so cold that my nose began to freeze after only ten minutes. No double glazing on the window and loose lock. Door out onto grass area at the rear of the building. It felt unsecure, and the bathroom was tiny and grubby seeming and not fitted to a modern spec at all . We could hear people swearing in the next room. Not good!!
Location and room.
Full English Breakfast to order included but indifferent ingredients and cooking let it down.
The staff were courteous and helpful. The bar is lovely and modern. The room was nice with a massive bed and we got shampoo and all the necessary things to make our stay good. Had water coolers outside the rooms which was great!
Some of the rooms/walls needed a lick of paint as looked a bit tired. Breakfast was ok, sausages were pretty cheap and nasty.
Restaurant, room, look and feel
Open desk Reception
Breakfast was a bit - run of mill
Friendly staff with reasonable rooms and good public areas
Would be great to have a small gym
