No stairs and own front door.
Heating system noisey going on and off all night. The door didn't fit so that made road noise very loud. After requesting two cups we only received one. Lack of attention to detail.
no wifi, heating was not easy to control, walls very thin and the people next door were very loud
The fact the dulux double room was two single beds pushed together
Even though booking.com stated they do breakfast for a small surcharge, they do not currently serve breakfast Monday to Friday. Some staff could do with more customer facing training. Even though all info says they serve food 12 noon to 9pm, beware they close the kitchen between 3pm and 6pm
Large room, comfortable bed
No breakfast available
was not told at time of booking about the parking charge
location was ok.
Dingy room, air con did not work. Underneath sink was a breeding ground for mould and bacteria. walls of shower wiped down with a greasy cloth. Power switches were loose and potentially dangerous. Would not stay here again. Quite sad as other hotels in this group were much better.
Room needs an update
Without a doubt the best value in Surrey. Loads of parking and a decent sized room.
No wi-fi in rooms. You don't get a view of the river like the picture suggests, all rooms are in a motel overlooking the carpark. Hospitality tray was not restocked during my two night stay. Generally a bit basic and grubby. Pub was locked in the morning so clearly no breakfast available at any price.
Free toiletries this visit. Ideal location for what I wanted to do.
Good shower but the shower head could have done with a clean. Dressing stool hadn't been dusted for ages. No breakfast available.
No breakfast when booking info said there was at additional cost. Would not of used potters had info said no breakfast available.
It was , for me a very convenient location and the price wasn't too high .
The room had no bulb in the bedside light. During the 3night stay the bed was never made and the tea and coffee were never replenished. The cleanliness of the room was not very good.
No breakfast in the week, being a diabetic this was unsatisfactory. The bathroom was cold, no heat, the shower was ridiculous, with the switch on at back, it was very hard to switch on without freezing first, before the hot water started. Certainly not worth the money.
You certainly get what you pay for! Terrible. Avoid like the plague. Unfriendly staff in the bar area. Room grotty. Bedside lights missing bulbs, the other didnt work. Mould in the shower. Dirty cups.
excellent value for money for my builders from the North
After a 13:5hr flight Potter's was a wonderful relief. Clive was extremely welcoming, the food was tasty and very reasonably priced. The location is really quite. The canal cafe nearby substituted for breakfast.also very cheap and wholesome food
Unfortunately between booking and arrival there was a change and they no longer do breakfast on site. There was no hairdryer in the room !!
Price. Peaceful location. Bed (go for the doubles upstairs). Aircon - places at this price don't usually have aircon.
Shower - fixed showerhead; drain couldn't keep up with delivery.
Clean up to date room with excellent shower. Restaurant offered good food. Spacious car park and outside area.
We were two friends needing a twin room. The one we were originally allocated was changed, so we had a wet room rather than a shower. No problem with that. The room we were given was clean, warm, and comfortable. Potters had everything we needed. our evening meal was excellent, the staff were friendly and helpful. It was an ideal location for our visit, and will be considered when we need to be in the area again.
A couple of housekeeping items we felt could have been more efficiently addressed; a missing light bulb in one of the bedside lamps, (surely there must have been a couple of spares on the premises) and while the duvets and bed linen were spotless, the bedspreads could have been fresher. No breakfast available on site, so we had to go accross the road to the Canal Centre Cafe, which didn't open until 9.30am.
The garden was excellent.
Little or no interaction or welcome from the staff. With the exception of the waitress in the morning. Signs seemed to say they are not children friendly in the main area. One night for work okay but if there had been a decent pub serving food within walking distance we'd have gone there.
I felt uncomfortable all the time.
I just needed a bed for the night and I got it. Comfortable too
The place is getting tired, but is still excellent value for the area.
Dinner was good
Zero signage to point the traveller to the Hotel which looked from outside to be a eating place only.
