Clean up to date room with excellent shower. Restaurant offered good food. Spacious car park and outside area.
We were two friends needing a twin room. The one we were originally allocated was changed, so we had a wet room rather than a shower. No problem with that. The room we were given was clean, warm, and comfortable. Potters had everything we needed. our evening meal was excellent, the staff were friendly and helpful. It was an ideal location for our visit, and will be considered when we need to be in the area again.
A couple of housekeeping items we felt could have been more efficiently addressed; a missing light bulb in one of the bedside lamps, (surely there must have been a couple of spares on the premises) and while the duvets and bed linen were spotless, the bedspreads could have been fresher. No breakfast available on site, so we had to go accross the road to the Canal Centre Cafe, which didn't open until 9.30am.
The garden was excellent.
Little or no interaction or welcome from the staff. With the exception of the waitress in the morning. Signs seemed to say they are not children friendly in the main area. One night for work okay but if there had been a decent pub serving food within walking distance we'd have gone there.
I felt uncomfortable all the time.
I just needed a bed for the night and I got it. Comfortable too
The place is getting tired, but is still excellent value for the area.
Dinner was good
Zero signage to point the traveller to the Hotel which looked from outside to be a eating place only.
The room was up to a resonable standard, location was good for what we required.
The electric in the room switched off / on by the room key( hence could not leave any thing on to recharge ie phone) The bar/ dinning area is a bit outdated and could do with a slight refurb.
Staff were very helpful Food was superb Very comtable bed and shower was excellent
Food was good staff friendly.
Booked double bed got single bed. No breakfast although was advertised.
Limited tv channels Being charged £10 for parking van If this was stated in add I won't have booked
Breakfast extra charge and minimum amount on credit card £10 no wifi in rooms
Location was excellent especially on a sunny afternoon. Quality of food was surprisingly good.
It appears to be a sports bar with many TV screens and commentaries. When we stayed - a Sunday in October- it was empty, dark and depressing.
Friendly staff, decent restaurant menu.
No wifi in the rooms which are separate from the main building which means you have to go to the bar to use the internet. The heating on our air conditioner didn't work so our room was a little cold.
Style and position of the hotel and a comfortable room with adjacent parking.
Rather 'matter of fact' in receiving/welcoming guests. Smiles from the staff were conspicuously absent.
Food was reasonable, staff helpful and pleasant.
slight smell of dampness, particularly in toilet and shower.
Quiet room, clean room and clean bathroom. Many TV stations, and a clear flat screen TV.
Kettle was full of corrosion salts, so take your small travel kettle with you! No internet. Shower head fixed, and mixer a bit difficult and fiddly to set. A new and modern mixer with a flexible hose would have been more user friendly, especially for lady visitors who do not want to wet their hair due to recent styling.
lots of space the staff were really friendly and it was nice to go into a room which felt like a little apartment, great value for money.will be visiting again.
just a little mark on the bedding and the floor could of been hovered.
The breakfasts were good & also the evening meal which we had on one occasion.
Noisy guests, drinking & talking in the car park. Complained a light bulb needed replacing in our room & just outside our room but nothing was done. Had to remind the chamber maid on two separate occasions that two guests were staying in our room & replaced the necessary towels. Generally the room & bathroom looked very tired. At breakfast had to ask the girl behind the counter to take our order & it seemed as if we were an inconvenience & I told her so. I initially booked 5 nights from abroad & when we arrived in UK I phoned & booked another night, however, when we arrived at this Hotel they were not aware of my additional night & even asked me to contact their main Hotel for the receipt, not at all professional. Constant leaking shower & was told to push the lever back hard in order for it to stop, we tried & it didn't work & nothing further was done about it.
quiet, comfortable rooms with nice food.
Bits on carpet and rubbish in bedside drawer Dirty towel in drawer
Good location and easy check out
Rooms very basic
Location was good
Staff were rude and ignorant cleanliness was no where to be seen toilets were disgusting booked a double bed room only to find it was two twins pushed together shower cubicle was filthy pubic hairs stuck to the wall handle on shower was broken and was very dangerous probally the worst place we have stayed in
