I have three photos of issues i brought up with reception on departure. one show a some cracks in the basin, i shows that both taps have their tops missing and the most serious the Electric plug on the Iron had a piece missing from it.
It was warm
Hotel very tired. Room has several light not working. Extractor fan squealing and falling to bits. Bath panel badly fitting and falling apart. Paint chipped of shelf in bathroom. Window to the room was loose. Will not be staying again
Location, although noisy because of proximity to army base. Reception chap very good, Food homely and hot.
Tired decor and carpets, creaky floor boards, long corridoors. Too expensive - not value for money
Parking was easy for me with my big truck and wifi good restaurant very good value for money
Staff were not always easy to find and generally the hotel had worn feel about it
Overall every thing.
The single beds where to small 3 days requesting them to change one bulb with out success
The staff were excellent, the food was very good and the hotel was clean.
The hotel is tired. No handle oh the wardrobe Lights around the hotel not working. Light not working in bedroom of our friends. Bathroom door did not close at all!!
Stayed in December so we appreciated the heating and hot water in the hotel and bedrooms which was very good. Pool was good warm and clean.
Hotel needs a make over especially the bathrooms as ours had a cracked sink and mould in the tiles. The pool changing rooms were dirty and the shower are especially is filthy and out dated more like an old school gym shower. Also the pool closed at 4.30pm on a Saturday when most other hotels are open untill 8.00 or later. The staff looked bored and did not know much about the hotel itself. The receptionist did not know when the pool closed and had to make 2 phone calls to find out. Breakfast cost £12.50 each and was only from 8.00 - 9.30 on a Sunday morning. No good after a late night on Saturday, so we ate out. Beds were large but very hard so we both had an uncomfortable nights sleep. Better to pay slightly more and stay at the near-by Holiday inn.
iron and board , trouser press , clean adequate room no view though. Came with the little complimentary shower, tea/coffee not enough milk pots. you would expect. did not use pool, spa or restaurant so will no comment.
I was in a £74 double room, room number 110 2nd floor using a very narrow corridor to get to. "LOUD" creaking floor boards on 2nd and 3rd floor rooms , was awaken at 4.30 am by upstairs walking around and the creaking floor boards, I recorded the noise for my wife to hear so I would be believed. The heating did not work and after talking to staff I was assured once my key fob was placed in the holder it would come on ??.. (does not sound right to me). The shower head was at neck height not the end of the world but had to duck down to wash my hair. Also on entering and leaving the fire doors were held open..My experience of other hotels this was a poor 3 star and overpriced in my view..will not use it again.. Made my view clear to reception staff and was told they will let maintenace know.. the floor boards are a long on going problem maybe some kind of subsidence ? wardrobe doors were warped and could hear upstairs having the same problem by thr noise of them slamming them shut.

I've been at Potters 4 times in last 1 month. I always asked for a bit later check-out of 2 hours, 1pm instead 11 am. Any problem till yesterday, when the receptionist told me the manager charged my bill by 20 pounds for 2 hour. Ok, no problem. 20 more pounds in your till, 1 less customer on your book. Fantastic staff, poor management.
Really enjoyed this stop over for work; the place was like a spa weekend break... pool sauna and meals were fab, just great and the team make an effort to ensure you are rested. My room was BIG with comfy beds and I hope I find this place again.
staff were good, helpful. They have good facilities, gym, pool, bar, Rooms are clean and beds comfortable Plenty of free parking
It was a clean , quiet , comfortable hotel with friendly , helpful staff . No request was too much trouble I would recommend to anyone and will certainly use it again ,
There was nothing we didn't like although we didn't use the restaurant ,as we were visiting family ,so I cannot comment on the food .
Steam room not working
My family, who tried to book in the week prior to our stay, were told that the hotel was fully booked. From our observations, there were only 2 rooms occupied - ours! Very strange!
Not much - Price.
Bar closed at 10.50pm Breakfast too expensive. Dated facility
The team that welcomed us and made us feel welcome

The lady in reception she is not friendly at all and two times happend that she couldn't find my booking and told me you didn't book at 11:30 night all dough I was showing my booking reference and I had to book again and than in the morning another lady she was telling me we pay you back we charged you twoice without telling me why and how or sorry So and I book all ways double room but inside the room is allways one towel than waling down witch some times the room is for from the reciption and asking towel and to bo honest reheating to ask I need towels . Thanks
The staff were friendly and the rooms were clean.
The food served in the evening was of a poor quality. This was through no fault if the staff as they can only serve what they are given.
WiFi excellent, great carvery in restaurant, no problems with parking, very helpfull staff
bed mattress definitely to soft for me, walking to the room took me ages
