2 reasons: proximity to train station and the fact that we could store our luggage at hotel after checkout so we could take a day tour around Bath. The bathroom was dreadful--we could not regulate the hot/cold water feature of shower--it was one extreme or the other, no in between. Had to step up to get into bathroom--one would expect that in a very old hotel. No excuse for the scalding-to-ice water shower adventure. ALSO--the liquid soap in shower/bathroom had been watered down so many times that it was nearly all water. We used our own--so glad we had some with us. |

The room we stayed in was on the 1st floor & was comfortable with a large en suite bathroom. We heard no noises during the night so had uninterupted sleep. The shower was very difficult to turn off & we had to ask a member of staff to do it for us.This was disappointing for the price we paid. |

Hotel was very central, rooms were clean and staff very helpful. Very good breakfasts included also. We were in the attic where it was very warm and we had to have the fan on all night |

Great location, 5 min from Train Station and to the city centre. Very quiet street. Rooms are simply gorgeous! After London hotels you feel like in Victorian paradise! Very roomy, quiet, clean. Lavish English breakfast, great helpful staff. One of the best hotel I`ve ever seen, very atmospheric. Definetely for romantic people who do not like modern styles I was thinking for a while what to write here. Not a single idea! |

The location of Pratt's Hotel was it's best selling point, plus maybe the old world charm night porter was unwelcoming. Bed was only a very small double. Doors slammed which didn't make for an undisturbed rest |

The location is excellent. Near the train and bus depot and within walking distant to most attractions in Bath. The hotel is run down with paint pealing off the bathroom doors and windows. Very close to the taxi stand where the drivers gather and they talk to all hours of the night. You will hear them if you have the windows open. The floors are also unheaven. |

The manager being very helpful when I could not get the shower to work. Lovely staff in the restaurant. Hitting my head on the sloping ceiling when I got up in the night and forgot. The fact that the shower still did not work even after being repaired. |

Good location (between train station and town centre, it was only a 5 minute walk either way). And the charm! It was quite old and rickety, but we thought it was very cool. |

The hotel had a lot of old world charm. Our garret room at the top of the hotel was spacious, clean and had a wonderful view of the church. Most of the staff was welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was good and the service and surroundings were very good. The manager was attentive. We couldn't regulate the temperature of the shower in our room. Almost got scalded with hot water. The internet service didn't work which posed a problem. The manager did his very best to help us but to no avail. He did however give us a deduction on the cost of our room as compensation. |

Sorry but I was only with you overnight and therefore cannot highlight anything specific. I did think it was quite expensive although I appreciate it was a single room. However, it was a single and not a twin let as a single. |

The staff were polite and helpful. It is central to Bath and easy to find. Parking is adjacent but has to br paid for. It is in need of redecoration, paper peeling from walls, the bathroom although clean was old. Floorboards were very noisy, the lift antiquated |

The breakfast not too bad The night staff weren't nice at all. Price expensive in room with seagulls noise and tv but not remote or channels. The smell bathroom was disgusting. Doesn't worth 70£ night. |

Friendly and polite staff Well the map provided by hotel gave wrong location after wasting 45 mins using map we rang hotel and asked for directions, whoever answered the phone could not help as they were new.I obtained address and knowing Bath finally arrived at hotel. It is easy to find as it is just before main police station.Easy if you know Bath but not if you don;t. |
