I had a good weekend in the hotel. Breakfast was good with a buffet style selection of foods on offef including full english breakfast,. Staff friendly and nice, the location to both the town center and sites was excellent The things that i did not like are so minor they are not even worth commenting on.

Location. Breafast OK but we were not shown to a table. Told to "find a table that had been cleared"! It was busy but no excuse! The Hotel was very "tired" and appeared to have not been cared for. Very 1950 s! Our room was poor. When we arrived two of the cutains were still "hitched up" on the rail (probably like that for vacuming the floor). The telephone was on the pillow! There was a lot of chipped paint on window ledge.Although the bathroom had been re-tiled at some stage there were lots of problems . The plug in the sink was stuck (release didn't work) .The towel rail was missing (fixings there but no rail) The hot water "trickled" so the shower was a dribbble and it was fixed on the wall at a height best for a pigmy! It was clean but the pipes were not boxed in so plenty of places for dirt to be trapped. As regular world travellers we have not experienced such a Hotel antwhere for 40 years! Very ashamed that UK visitors will get a poor impression of Bath and the UK. We paid far too much for a very poor experience!

The room was nice and the staff were very professional. There was a problem in the breakfast room-mix up with breakfast serving and a leak came through the roof but the staff were quick to address the issues and very apologetic about any inconvenience to clients. It was not the fault of the hotel but the people in the room next door were shouting/arguing and that was disturbing as I was going to sleep. Noise travels. I was scared of your lift-it's abit clunky but that's just me being picky-I'm scared of enclosed spaces at the best of times

I liked location and good breakfast. One girl in particular in the breakfast room (so friendly and helpful and pleasant) small lady with short dark brown hair. Rooms could be cleaner particularly the bathroom. Night porter not the most approachable more staff required at breakfast time.

Nice hotel, a little dated but that's it charm, clean comfortable beds, very nice breakfast, good value for money. Would visit again. I didn't like the old fashion "stuffy old fashion looking" chairs in the lounge. I am sure they were very comfortable but I didnt like the look for them. I also think the bedroom furniture could do with updating, it would not take away from the charming original large rooms with beautiful large windows.

Have stayed here before on business. Room rate varies dramatically rising due to demand. However for this trip rate at £79 was fine for a hotel right in the center of town, Hotel decor is very tired, creaky floorboards Room 207 had to turn on hot tap and wait some minutes for hot water to arrive. Would not want to stay for more than a few days. They have a small bar but it is not manned by staff, you have to go to reception and request an appearance from a staff member to come across from the restraunt. No car park but there is a public one across the street which is free after 8pm until 8am. No frill hotel but location for the town is great.

Location was perfect as I arrived by train, 2 minute level walk to the hotel. Nice historic building from the outside (currently being refurbished) but could do with some upgrading internally. Breakfast service was a joke, I sat down at around 9.00am didn't leave untill well after 10.00. The staff who were very friendly and obviousley overstretched tried their best to accomodate everyones needs but failed. Some of my party gave up and left before getting any hot food as they had long onward jouneys and couldn't wait any longer. On the up side when my breakfast arrived it was freshly cooked and piping hot.

I liked the location & old world charm. We stayed in one of the "back" rooms which was very quiet. The hotel provides large bottles of toiletries which are very usefull when guests are travelling with only hand baggage. I thought the hotel overpriced, as are most hotels in Bath. Our bed was only a double and would have been too small for larger people. The scaffolding and road works outside the hotel are off-putting.

We came to run the half marathon and so the location was perfect and we thought it was a really nice touch to provide free breakfast for those raising money for charity (even though we actually paid for B&B) Decor and carpeting looking a bit tired

convenient location Requires a complete renovation. Have stayed here some years ago, but sadly will not stay again as decor (particularly the grubby bathroom facilities and where the shower was barely working), furnishings and general ambiance is not of an acceptable standard. The costs is excessive for the quality of this hotel. The front of the hotel is covered with scaffolding, one morning at 7.50am workman were out side our 3rd floor room window!.

Pratts was great for visiting Bath. We were just a few minutes from the Abbey and the Roman Baths. I would stay there again for location and price. Our room was lovely but the shower needed upgrading...urgently!

The location is good. Easy walking distance of the station, taxi rank opposite , close to the shops. The rooms were clean and the towels and bedding were acceptable. Beds were comfortable. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. We weren't in the hotel long enough to be miserable and the location made up for the disappointments so all told, we had a very enjoyable weekend. The hotel itself is in need of drastic rennovation. Shabby carpet; needs painting, out of date decor, (suspect it hasn't been rennovated since the 50's and is living on past glories).Needs a drastic facelift. Gives an impression of general tiredness and not really bothered if people don't return to stay there. Bathrooms were shabby and the appliances very worn. You didn't want to stay too long in the bath due to their age.Showers didn't have enough pressure. The bar was limited and had run out of a very ordinary item. When we walked in to the foyer, we had a sinking feeling that we had made the wrong choice of hotel. General ambience "Very Fawlty Towers". If I had to visit Bath again, I wouldn't choose this Hotel and won't recommend it to my friends. I can't comment on the food as we didn't eat there, but my guess would be that we made a wise choice in eating somewhere else.

Location. I booked at a rate of £145 + £10 each for breakfast. I did not take breakfast but was charged £165 because when I checked in the rate was increased to include breakfast. I was told this could not be reversed once checked in. I do not find this acceptable. The hotel was tired and had no running hot water for a bath.

It's peaceful, staff are mostly friendly, our room was clean and comfortable, good choice of food for breakfast We had to ask for a room with a bath and even then were given one with a shower, we were moved 3 times. The bath took a ridiculous amount of time to run. However none of this spoilt our break

Amazing location and large rooms. Taxis just across the road and a 1-2 minute walk to the Roman Baths, 1 min to the clothes shops and just down the road from the train station. Easy 3-5min walk. Lack of shower pressure. Not a big deal, made more tolerable by the great size of the shower
