Location is fantastic
Hotel is run down. The special offers over Christmas and New Year were cheaper than our weekend. It was hard to get staff attention. Hotel was too warm.
Although this is a well placed hotel it is showing the signs of delapidation. The services are OK, but it seriously needs substantial refurbishment.
The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.
The room was small and very hot, we had to sleep with all the windows open. The room was very shabby and dingy, there were tiles missing from the bathroom and outside on the ceiling there was a damp patch and the paper was peeling. The shower was over the bath and could not be regulated, it was either freezing cold or boiling hot, so I ended up having to wash my hair in the sink. My husband at 6 foot was unable to fit under the shower without squatting which was very uncomfortable. All this for £129!! In my opinion an absolute rip off! I contacted the hotel twice and was assured the manager would contact me as I wanted to let them know my complaint and that I would be leaving a negative review. I heard nothing, which makes me think that reviews are not important to them.
Location, I only had to stay one night
Tired interior, uncomfortable single bed, musky smell, breakfast not included in extortionate price, price
Breakfast,just OK. Dinner awful.!!!!!
Helpful friendly staff Wonderful comfy beds Quirky charm of the building Location
It was a pity that while Pratts ticks most of the boxes,it was let down by being badly in need of decoration.
Location, Staff, comfort
Very loud TV in bar area, not compatible for a quiet drink.
The room was dirty. The carpet was stained. The room wasn't hoovered. The towels were stained. The arms of the chair were sordid. The headboard was dirty. I asked for an extra douvet and the Manager bought a lumpy douvet in a torn and grubby cover. I did not use it.
Location and price
Rooms tired. Shower a joke.
Excellent location for station, bus station, and town centre tourist attractions The bed was comfortable . The breakfast was very good
I was placed in a room that was in the middle of refurbishment-not completed. I was moved to a similarly unfinished room-no better. There were many fully unused ,pleasantly furnished rooms- but I was not offered any.I appreciated that refurbishment was taking place-but that was no excuse for charging full rate for very uncomfortable accommodation
Clean room. Helpful staff. Excellent situation. Good facilities.
The pillows were far too thin
Fantastic location, nice sized room, pretty quiet. Staff nice and helpful. Wifi good.
Bathroom in a state of decay. enamel worn in patches in the bath, damp patch on the ceiling, shabby bathroom. small tv no fridge.
Good breakfast with plenty of choice, but accounting as to whether continental, special rate or fully English needs to be monitored.
Old fashioned - dreadful bedroom furniture. Wash basin blocked, shower either scolding or freezing;mixer taps could not cope.
Good location, walking distance of train station. Single room was very comfortable and well appointed. Staff helpful. Food good.
Toilet seat loose. No soap tray in Shower. The refill of the toilet takes a long time and is noisy at 04.00 hrs !
Drab and needing refurb
Location is really a huge plus. Will have no hesitation in stopping there again
1. Food was excellent. We had dinner and the preparations of chichen breast and haddock were excellent. 2. Central location - good car park in front, 5 minutes walk to Roman baths and Pultney bridge. Easy access to Hop on/Hop off City Tours. 3. Staff very courteous and good. Make you feel homely. 4. Room comfortable & clean
1. Water pressure in bathroom not at all good. 2. interior decor of hotel could be improved, carpets in staircase worn out, furniture old 3. Cleanliness of toilets could be improved. 4. Lot of disturbance from outside road, could be due to Halloween night. But we had very little sleep
central location (but a car park was very expensive), nice size of room, very friendly staff
As a family trip, we used 3 rooms. Some had no telephones, no tissue papers, and cracking noise.
Very good room. had a good time there with my friend.
Excellent value for money, the hotel is in a great central location, everything we needed was within walking distance. The room was clean, presented nicely and comfortable. The staff were lovely, very friendly and welcoming. Would stay here again!
Everything was good, staff very helpful and teh accommodation was great.
The room was exceptionally hot during the night, which did disturb the sleep.
Location, comfy roomy
Not much water pressure for shower, only let down.
