The bathrooms need to be updated.
Squeaky bed no phone. Linen stained.
Good Location All the attraction were just a minutes away, including food places
Central location, friendly and helpful staff. Hotel room and bathroom are well equiped. TV and WIFI connection are fine as well. Stairs are easy to take. And their breakfast buffet offers fresh fruit and croissants. Need I say more. Victorian style
The location was excellent, convenient to the train station and an easy walk to sights in Bath. Our room was relatively spacious, clean, quiet, and comfortable.
Location was excellent. Suite was spacious with bedroom, sizable bathroom, and spacious living room.
Did not provide parking. Carpet was filthy. No bellhop. Breakfast was mediocre. No security lock on the room. No luggage stand. Needs maintenance e.g. caulking around tub, paint chipped. Not a good value for the price we paid.
Hotel need refurbishment for this price. Quite dated.
Great location. Friendly staff. Very comfy night sleep in a big room but looks like it's stuck in the 80's. Not the quality you expect from the price we paid but it was a bank holiday. In major need of a refurb but would stay again for right price
Location was excellent ,staff were very friendly and helpful.
Bit old fashioned room needed painting, bath was chipped.
Location was perfect. History of the hotel was interesting. Ensuite was clean.
Lift was scary. I had trouble sleeping, too hot, needed a top sheet as alternative to duvet.
Except the street noise outside our room.
Close to main attractions.
twin room in the roof with one tiny window. Unable to regulate the hot and cold water to the shower.
the location could not have been perfect when travelling by train. my bed was very comfortable & it was good to be able to open windows.
as the hotel admitted it is in need of updating & the shower wasn't great.
tiny window, airless and very hot, fan supplied did not work. charged twice for room(accidentally by staff) took over a week to put wright. I asked for change of room but not possible ?
The hotel is well situated and beds were clean and confortable.
The bathroom. The pluming belongs to an other century. Took very long to evacuate the water from the sink. The shower did not work well. Even if it was a detail for us, but TV did not work. Rugs shoud be changed.
Excellent location, good value rooms.
Rooms on the third floor (top floor) are very hot and the beds are too soft so not the best nights sleep but it is very central and good value so would recommend.
When we arrived the staff were friendly and helped us with all our questions. We booked a twin room, which was very large with traditional decor and furniture. The hotel is clean, however would benefit from new white bed linen, new carpet and a paint touch up. The location was fab and the staff brilliant. Breakfast was well worth it and we would come back
The staff were exceptionally helpful and the hotel was quiet
Nothing not to like - a little modernising would be a bonus
The staff made some good suggestions of where to eat. Also, when our plumbing system made a noise, they quickly arranged for us to have another room. However the biggest thank you is due because I left my iPhone charger behind behind and the hotel staff quickly found it and sent it to my home. Thank you very much for your kindness and help.
The lifts. Small and sometimes they seem to stop between floors. Very abrupt.
The hotel was centrally located and close to the main centre.
It was super hot in the room and all we got was an old fan. The after in the shower was either scolding or cold so it was extremely difficult and uncomfortable to shower. I believe the price we paid per night was 108 pounds but you could stay at The Abbey hotel for 120 pounds.
There are so many cons to talk about... First, the building is very old, dusty, smelling musty and needs renovation. Then, creaking floor is very creepy. Difficulties with hot water. For me the experience was especially bad because my room was located so as when I opened the window pigeons easily got inside, so I had to keep it closed and open only at night. I didn't want to come back there :( Don't make a mistake like I did.
Good central location for Bath attractions and restaurants. Staff friendly.
Location - outside rather noisy at weekend. Furniture and décor were dated and a bit shabby .
Location price large room
Parking old creaky rooms shower in bath
Friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast available
Beds uncomfortable, mattress old. Unable to use shower, was over bath and run off the mains water by pressing lever by taps to change from taps to shower. Unable to get appropriate temperature. Extremely hot...
Olde style decor Breakfast Bar, Dining room, Writing Room Lounge - great.
Lack of parking Heat of room, intense!
