the room was good value for money comfortable and everything we needed including the tea and coffee making facilities. May I suggest that a basic breakfast is offered, e.g. just cereals and tea or coffee/orange juice Even £6.00 for continental is quite expensive when not all the food on offer is needed.
the full breakfast was expensive £8.75 and it was not of a high standard. The waitress was mediocre, - she didn't provide two sets of cutlery. There was no boiling water to make tea at breakfast, only hot from a flask - very disappointing.
The staff were helpful, the bed comfortable and roomy, the en suite bathroom pleasant.
The breakfast in the "co-owned" (their words) Horse and Jockey was poor value. The bacon was hard and overcooked, the service very ordinary. Luckily we only booked it the first morning. The bedroom was somewhat stuffy at night. No socket outlet near the bed! (They lent me an extension lead).
Friendly helpful staff.convenience of pub/restaurant adjacent with good food. Taxi arranged by staff and good value £3 per trip anywhere in Aylesbury.
Price £69 for overnight stay without Breakfast.
Staff friendly and helpful, rooms immaculately clean. Price good.
Hair dryers are not provided as standard. By the time I realised this I was in a hurry to leave and it was too late to phone down to reception, which would have supplied one. Dinner and breakfast are at the pub next door. Although it's reasonably cheap, the tables were not clean and the food was poor quality, at both meals. The tea tasted distinctly fishy! The menu advertised "tomatoes grilled to perfection" but one at night was effectively raw and my breakfast one was so overdone it was like chewing toffee.
Superb breakfast in the adjoining Horse & Jockey pub.
Room felt a bit cold at times. The bed was extremely creaky. Woke me every time I turned in the bed.
A very welcoming receptionist who was polite and helpful. The room was very clean and spacious and had everything I needed. Breakfast in the adjoining pub was freshly cooked and delicious.
Sound insulation from other rooms could be a little better but I was on the upper floor , so not much of a problem. Bottled water in the room would have been lovely
The staff were so helpful at the desk and nothing was too much ie the extra bed and duvet etc.
Nothing really about the hotel, just thought it was closer to Aylesbury town centre.
Bed was comfy bathroom was clean :)
Room was cold when I arrived and cold when I woke up in morning, I left some tracksuit bottoms there by mistake phoned up in the evening of the 22nd nov same day I checked out to see if they was in reception and they wasn't there, the lady working that evening said she would double check in morning for me and call back which she did but still no luck on locating my tracksuit bottoms, so I phone back on the 24th to see if they had been fount as got told they would speak to head of house keeping, spoke to someone and still can not be fount, just really puzzled because I did not have them when I got home and they was not in my car so where they have gone I really don't no.they have said I have to phone the police for anything to be done!!! It's not the money I spent on them it's the point of so where have they gone???
Excellent staff Comfy bed & good nights sleep Good English breakfast
Easy check in. Easy Parking.
Bathroom very tired. Catering in the Pub not the best. Breakfast very ordinary.
The staff were friendly from the moment we arrived and very helpful. The Horse and Jockey was really good for food and we had an extremely comfortable night in the room
The friendly welcome Clean room Good location for what we wanted.
I felt the price was high for what we got. Would have expected unlimited wifi for the price paid. Was sat at the table for breakfast for half hour before anyone came to take order and I felt the level of breakfast was poor for price.
Clean, spacious room. Good menu choice in adjoining pub/restraunt.
Breakfast was way too expensive compared to other unlimited breakfast offers at competing eateries!
The hotel itself was great - the guy at the front desk was excellent and the from was great.
We ate in the restaurant next door - it was extremely bad in upkeep, service & quality of food. Needs to be levelled and rebuilt. As we were waiting to pay (1 lone barman serving the whole place) our waitress dropped a glass jar which shattered by my daughters leg. The waitress yelled sorry as she flew passed but didn't return to assist us with a bleeding leg and broken glass everywhere -another customer was also appalled and gave us her details as a witness. The overworked barman tried to find a plaster but there were none in the 1st aid box. The whole place needs managing. Very disappointing
Good location. Friendly staff.
Breakfast was poor. Not the best quality and minimal amount.
Loo roll only thin tissue sheets
free wifi for 30 minutes each day. quiet room. Good pub next door for food at a reasonable price.
mattress a bit hard for us but that is because we have neck problems - not fault of Inn. We liked an armchair each in the room which was supplied on request- more comfortable when watching tv than an upright dining chair.
Comfortable bed, basic room but very clean, easy access, enough parking, very quiet room, staff helpful
you have to go outside to the pub next door for breakfast and it was raining
Very close to the town centre, plenty of parking, very helpful staff, lots of parking, clean room with powerful shower. Good TV reception and choice of channels. Good value for money.
I would like free wifi throughout the stay - lots of places offer this although I would not want this to be reflected in a price increase.
Lovely comfortable bed and clean room. Very friendly staff.
Would have liked a safe for valuables and a towel rail for the hand towels.
Pleasant staff on arrival, room clean and good size.
value for money
Bed very uncomfortable Breakfast very poor quality
Olga on the reception desk was a delight; she was friendly, efficient & told me everything I needed to know. A very professional & courteous employee & invaluable staff member. The waiting staff in the Horse & Jockey were also polite, friendly & good at their jobs. I had a good night's sleep & was very impressed. I am staying at this Inn once a month until July 2015 & will look forward to each visit.
The accommodation was well placed and staff were very helpful and friendly.
The lady who worked in the pub where breakfast was served was rude and kept saying we couldn't be long over breakfast. However we arrived before 9am which was when breakfast finished and we were travelling with two elderly family members who couldn't rush. Very unprofessional!
Very accommodating staff who allowed us early entry to our room for which we were very pleased. All staff we met over the two days we stayed were polite and engaging.
