Score from 349 reviews Fabulous
The friendliness of the team, very welcoming and even early in the morning the cleaning teams saying good morning and smiling well done
A smell of smoke but as we were above the smoking bins not sure if this was the issue or someone hanging out the windows as the curtains were smelling of smoke
Very clean and helpful staff
Everyone was very friendly and helpful...food was good...room was good as usual
During our stay the elevator was out of order for the 2 nights we were there. Heard from others who were there for a longer stay than us that it was never fixed. Was meant to be repaired in 24 hours! Although we are fit senior citizens there were others who were not so fit and on the third floor. Could have spoilt an otherwise perfect stay for some.
Very impressed by the cleanliness and decor of the hotel. The room was great for myself, husband and grandson as a stopover before going to the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. The beds were so comfy we had a great nights sleep. We are in the restaurant and had the best steak tasted for a long while, it just melted in the mouth. Have recommended the hotel to many people.
The staff were very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable The room was very comfy, warm and well organised The extra pillow was great, and we didn't have to ask for one
We were a bit disappointed with the selection of items ready at the buffet for hot breakfast. No mushrooms or scrambled eggs left, I asked if there were more and was told more was on their way but I had finished my breakfast, toast, coffee and juice and still no fresh mushrooms or scrambled eggs were brought out. Otherwise the food was lovely.
Stayed at the A77 for the above occasion. Convenient for the train to Glasgow - 7 minutes drive to the Station. Good location for exploring the Ayrshire Coast and local attractions - Burns Country etc. Every thing about our stay was excellent - couldn't fault it.
Nothing to complain about.
Bathroom was well designed, comfy bed. Cannot comment on breakfasts etc as we did not use this service.
Noise in corridors made by other residents shouting to each other without respect for other travellers/guests
Quiet with a no noise after 22:00 policy enforced well. Staff friendly and helpful. Rooms clean.
No newspapers and the full English breakfast was only average.
maiority of the guests were senior citizens and we all had to climb stairs for our entire stay.
Room was very good as was Hotel
Lift did not work any of the time we were there. We were on the third floor
Shower cubicle in bathroom instead of usual shower over bath Lovely restaurant
Lift was out of operation on our visit. With a room on the 3rd floor climbig the stairs became rather tedious
Good food and great staff
Doors very noisy - bang when closing. Door inside room doubles as a toilet door and main door into shower room. The people in the room next to us woke us up at 4am with both this internal door and their bedroom door banging open and closed for nearly an hour. Also had to go out of our room and close the fire door beside us as it (and another one nearer the lift) were always stuck open. We were in room 121. The evening before when we had dinner we waited over half an hour for our desserts and they only arrived after I said we couldn't wait any longer as we had to get to bed due to an early start the next morning. I was given a refund on our night's accommodation by Hugh the following morning when I told him about the night's disruption. He handled this very well. My daughter and I are staying at the Premier Inn Dundee North this Thursday 14 Aug for a skating competition at 8am on Friday morning and I really hope we can get a good night's sleep there!
Staff were excellent - helpful and friendly
Location but not a surprise
The staff went out of their way to make everything a pleasurable stay .They went the extra mile to ensure that we knew how to get to our wedding venue hence the stay , and that we got a very warm welcome even at midnight after a very long day. We would say that they were a great advert for the company and how staff should treat people at all times .
Food choice and quality was excellent - best we've ever had in a Premier Inn. Staff were very pleasant and helpful.
Room was narrow and would have been pushed for space if three occupants. The settee had been made up as a bed although there wasn't a third person. We had to take all the bedding off so as to have a place to sit. Lift was out of commission for the three days we were there which was pretty inconvenient for the customers, many of whom were older folk with luggage.
Clean, bright and comfortable room. Friendly and very helpful staff. Good choice and very reasonable prices in the restaurant/bar.
Lack of any signage for the approach road. The hotel is clearly visible from the main road but finding the way in is less straightforward.
Lovely big bathroom ideal for those disabled.
Awkward to find entrance off A77, tucked behind main dealer garage.
On entry the staff were so welcoming and the Hotel looked very clean. They explianed everything thoroughly. Breakfast and dinner were excellent value for money. Everything was excellent
Just the fact that the lift was broken and we had to climb stairs, difficult for my partner. Nothing I can say about it other than this, but we managed the stairs so really no complaints.
as a disabled person this proved very hard
very clean, big rooms, shame we could not bring our dogs and NO directions to hotel
Helpfulness of the staff.
Laundry collection service, noisy and loud in the early morning. Lack of choice and availability of breakfast items due to inadequate staffing levels and speed of service.
Just off A77, handy overnight stop. Got a good room rate.
No air conditioning in one of the rooms, window opens a crack - noisy in morning. Restaurant is convenient but over priced. Service slow - glacially so at breakfast, when we had to wait 20 minutes in the bar to even get a table (though there several several empty), and then a further 25 minutes for cooked breakfasts to arrive. Lots of empty containers at the breakfast buffet, which were never replenished. The moral - take the cheap room rate, but dine and breakfast elsewhere.
Overall very good experience
The restaurant is pricy for the portions they served.
