The staff on reception especially the older women who met us and booked us in was exceptional and I would say she went above and beyond to be welcoming as we made a quick alteration to our booking and had problems with the card readers for payment but at no point made us feel uncomfortable when it wasn't clear what the problem was with payment.

Unbeatable value if all you are looking for is a clean fuss free room with 4 beds and polite friendly staff. (*In particular a very big thankyou to Tracey, our breakfast hostess who's hospitality skills were better than perfect)

Rather surprised that the 2 single kids beds had very hard mattresses and were rather uncomfortable in comparison to the main double bed. However that didn't tarnish all the positives too much.

Our trip was for a family funeral - so we did not have a choice on area. But saying that we was very pleasantly pleased with the overall value and especially the friendly and helpful staff. Also the staff in the adjoining beefeater where we dined on the first night and breakfasted on both mornings - food and staff was excellent. the whether was very bad with ice and snow, and it was good that the carpark had been gritted etc. Thank you.

I am sat trying very hard to think of something that we didn't like - it is unusual not to be able to say that we didn't like something? maybe the price - but you get what you pay for.

As I was quite forgetfull the staff help me in everyway they could. Help out when I needed help especially as I had to visit hospital every day to see my husband during open heart surgery. Jo help me settled in and everymember helped me included staff for the Beefeater the same person who took me back to the Hotel each evening. Thank you so much Ruth

Only two coffee sachets for 3 people staying overnight? Receptionist very 'snippy' re arrangements made through booking.com Was made to feel silly by booking through them not just gently steered to booking diectly in future. Not enough towels

On arrival reception staff (an older lady) was very welcoming and very friendly. Our stay was for one night only 22/12 - but it was perfect as we had a function to attend 3miles away. Reception booked a taxi for us and it turned up on time. Our stay was perfect - our room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable - bathroom was too. Bedding and towels are what I would expect in my own home. Breakfast next morning was brilliant - again staff were very welcoming and directed us to the buffet and advised us on the menu. There was a huge selection to eat and drink. A perfect all round stay and would definitely stay again if I need to stay in this area This hotel is quite near to a main road DO NOT let this put you off - we never heard a sound.

Its location outside Basildon is excellent. It enables the family to all meet up and enjoy a meal together. There was aproblem with one of our rooms, where someone had been smoking in he room, but the young lady on Reception, Miss Winter dealt with the problem very quickly, politely and efficiently and we would like to express our thanks for that. Well Done Merry Christmas

Functional - It does exactly what it says on the tin!!!

Rather basic. Toiletries scarce! Requested small breakfast but got large one, which was on the cold side. Staff very courteous and helpful.

Stayed to visit sick family in upminster abou 12 miles for Basildon was a bit more expesive than anticipated from Tv ads, but that asiide the staff were very friendly, and the room very clean , also parking was good and the Beefeater a true bonus , very busy but the hotel staff advised booking for 8.30pm when it was not so busy which we did and had a great meal. The hotel breakfast was also very good in that it was cooked fresh when ordered and not a buffet that had been stood and kept warm. All in all a good choice .

Being in a ground floor room and hearing people upstairs tramping about all night long disturbing sleep

We arrived around midnight on Fri 21st September after a family wedding which we had been photographing at. With a young baby, pram, travel cot and a hundred bags we forgot the main camera bag. Upon discovering this at the reception, the gentleman working the desk helped us locate the number of the taxi that had just dropped us off in order to locate the missing bag, which contained almost £5,000 worth of equipment. He helped us in to reception with all our belongings and was most accommodating from reception to our room again, with the baby, all our belongings and with his demeanour which helped to calm our worries about our missing bag. Upon arrival we found a travel cot in the room, clean and already assembled with plentiful baby blankets for us, on booking I simply asked for enough room within the room to accommodate my travelcot. We had lots of extra pillows available to us, our bed was huge and clean and very comfy too. Next morning, the girls on reception were very helpful with my husband, who needed some info from the desk (I think) and couldnt help us enough if we needed anything. We would definitely use Premier Inn again should we need to stay overnight for family reasons. We just hope we get the same staff again! Please pass on our sincere thanks to them.

Staff excellent. Very friendly and helpful brilliant. Restuarant menu not varied enough to eat there every day for 5 days. Hotel good comfortable I enjoyed my stay there

It was a pleasant place and helped us to celebrate our Daughter's wedding being able to relax afterwards.
