Excellent,
Score from 114 reviews
“ I liked that the hotel was close to the train station. It was only an eight minute walk. Also, I liked that they had fabulous shopping five minutes away at the Mailbox Shopping Center. They had great restaurants there too. The staff were so wonderful and helped us in every way they could. ”

Friendliness and helpfulness of staff plus its central position. Would try to aim to have a more open and larger reception area as first impressions count. On entering I felt the reception area was rather small and uninviting.

Rooms were comfortable, breakfast was great, distance from city centre & the mailbox. Premier Inn always say to tell them if you are unhappy, we told them & we were compensated, so they were true to their word. How long it took to get checked in. A hen party of 16 got checked in before 4 of us managed to, then we got given a room that a couple were already staying in with a 'do not disturb' sign on the door. It then took a further 20 minutes to get another room...all in all we had been at the hotel for an hour before we were checked into the two rooms that we had booked. The manager tried to blame booking.com, which was ridiculous! We got one room free of charge, so it ended well for us.

I liked the closeness to the station and the venue i needed to attend for business training. The staff were very pleasant. The room i was given had a small window that in order to look out off i had to stand on a chair!!!!

The staff are the hotels biggest asset very helpful and friendly. The restaurant bar next door is fabulous and the staff never stop working other than to check the customers are happy. Convenient for city centre no problem parking and the canal an added extra. We will be back! Customers who were moaning about a lack of sleep due to noise from others. Not our experience and no need to be rude to the reception staff!

This Inn is ideally suited for our visits to the Symphony Hall. Its location in the canal area made for some interesting walks. The staff were friendly and responsive. The inclusive breakfast was first rate. Shaver point?

As we were two ladies we were pleased that the friendly Receptionist kindly made the bed into two twin beds whilst we were out. Our shower was only giving us cold water so we were unable to use it (Room 206). This was reported the morning we left but too late to help us. The card keys to the room and lobbies do not always function.

The staff were polite and helpful. The Duty Manager was excellent in dealing promptly with our complaints. It's just a shame it was necessary to complain in the first place. The reallocated room was very good with a full-sized bed and comfortable mattress. The hotel is ideally situated for the city centre shopping and attractions. Other than the initial problems with the rooms, our stay was comfortable and totally satisfactory. We would use this hotel again. We had booked two rooms on the same reservation (made 4 months ago) but on arrival were allocated one room on the ground floor and one on the 4th. Why? We subsequently found that there were empty rooms on other floors. The ground floor room was poor, with a very small "double" bed with a thin mattress, which was nowhere near the standard expected from and advertised by Premier Inn. In addition, there was a bedside/reading light on only one side of the bed. The tv was positioned beside the bed so it would not have been possible to view whilst in bed. Both of our rooms were very cold on arrival and it was not possible to adjust the thermostat to a more comfortable temperature. One of our party, who needed to work in the room during the afternoon, had to get into bed to keep warm! We've stayed in Premier Inn on several occasions and have always found the rooms of a high standard. However, the positive side to all this is that when we complained to the Duty Manager, she promptly moved us from the ground floor room and provided a free-standing heater for the second room.

I liked that the hotel was close to the train station. It was only an eight minute walk. Also, I liked that they had fabulous shopping five minutes away at the Mailbox Shopping Center. They had great restaurants there too. The staff were so wonderful and helped us in every way they could. The lift was broken for most of the time we were there. We were on the fourth floor so we had to walk up. They fixed the lift as soon as they could and were very helpful taking up our luggage for us.
