Score from 229 reviews Good
staff were very nice and the hotel was clean and fresh
extremely difficult to find, the premier inn sign was so small and tucked away we went past it several times, actually had to ask another hotel where it was !!
Very good shower, room clean
No wifi was advised on arrival that had changed to free in last few days but couldn't get it to work
Reception staff very friendly, helpful and caring. Restaurant staff very friendly and attentive
Room key did not start electricity in room. Lamp switch in room missing-child's finger cut. Room smelled. TV remote not working. No hairdryer. Bath panel fell off and hit leg.
Great friendly helpful staff excellent sized room with everything you would expect. Perfect stop over.
No hairdryer but there was a note explaining why.
They helped you with all kinds of questions. They were very nice. The Children loved it. We felt really welcome. Communication was perfect.
Good size room. Nice firm bed. Being at the rear of the hotel there was no traffic noise. Breakfast excellent.
Not sufficient towels only one bath, one handtowel. Kettle slow to come to the boil. Pathetic flow of basin hot water. Considering we paid so much more than others (over £90) we should have stayed in a 5 star hotel. On enquiry we learnt how Premier operate pricing and are sorry they cannot be more up front, like Holiday Inn Express. We make regular trips to the area and will now consider our options.
Excellent customer service - they are superbly and professionally connected
Location is good, parking good and everyone was helpful.
However Breakfast on the Moring of 9th was terrible - after waiting 30 minutes for cooked breakfast to arrive it then wasn't complete and had to wait again for the rest to turn up with just a sorry from a young lady who was obviously nearly in tears. Other people had already complained. Made me late leaving and at my customer so not too impressed Oldbury. Why at these prices does WiFi cost extra, even the cheap B&B's have this for free. Shades of Ryanair supplementitis!!
Lovely staff, great room and handy restaurant
Friendly staff could not do enough for us always smileing explained everything all though it had no dinning room the public house was fantastic to and fair priced(try buffet meal) breakfast was served there and also was fantastic if i'm in the area i would return with out trying anywhere else
Fan in bathroom didn't switch of
Staff were amazing bed was comfortable room was clean and spacious and plenty of parking even on a Friday and Sat night Even the staff at the Brewers fare were lovely and helpful no faults at all.
nothing it was just what we were expecting
It was clean and the staff were very pleasant
The temperature of the room went up to 27% even with the window open at night and the fan running. it is uncomfortable sleeping at that temperature and there was no air conditioning
It was a premier inn and exactly what we expected.
Almost impossible to find from sat nav arriving from Birmingham direction. Had to call hotel to find it
Booked on short notice - spur of the moment thing. Great pub attached! Great staff! :0)
Only downside was that there wasn't a room available to accommodate 2 adults and 3 children at the time so had to book 2 bedrooms. And unfortunately we had noisey neighbours!!
Quiet room, had no issues with anyone. Room was clean, and we got a restful sleep. Breakfast is good at the place next door.
Pillows are way too soft, could use some good one. Other than that, noting to complain about.
Spacious room. As usual in premier inns and very quiet
No air con. Just a fan. Tv signal very bad. And as there is nothing else to do but watch tv (well if you're on your own!!) that is an issue. Hotel feels a but 'tired' needs some money spent on it.
Reception Staff very pleasant and helpful
Brewers Fayre Customer Service good but slow
We arrived late--nearly 10pm and were very pleased with our room and a restaurant next door where we could get a meal and a beer. Room had WIFI, comfortable beds, good shower.
Room was a bit on the small side, but this didn't matter to us given that we were there only a short time.
Convenient to Birmingham. Relatively easy to find from the motorway. Quiet.
The room was quite dark - being on the trees side. An obvious patch on the carpet (about 12"-15" in diameter) which had, at some point been cleaned. The hand basin tap only produced cold water, though the shower/bath tap produced hot water. I reported this at reception, received a pleasant, verbal apology and assured that it would be reported.
Attached Beefeater shocking.
Clean and comfortable room, quiet and pub next door had very reasonable food.
The rooms need better lights can seem very dark with just bedside lighting.
Comfortable room. Quiet despite being just off the main A4123.
Coffee machine broke down at breakfast so no choice of coffee. The TV signal for some channels was poor resulting in the picture breaking up.
location & ease of access
The staff were particularly lovely... professional, helpful and friendly. True to its claim, we slept very well.
The staff were very helpful & friendly. Having a restaurant next door was a plus after having driven a long distance. It is centrally located for the attractions in the area, also not far from Birmingham City centre. The ability to have WiFi in your room was helpful, although I feel it should be standard, and not charged for as an extra. £3 per 24 hour, considering the cost of the room. The cleanliness was second to none and I would certainly stay there again if I was in the area.
As you leave reception to go to your room, there is a notice on the door, stating you are entering a quiet zone. Well, every tread of the staircase makes such a loud creak as walk to your room, making this sign, laughable. I feel a toilet brush should be standard equipment in the bathroom, as not many guests like to leave a toilet pan dirty for the cleaners.
