The staff were amazing, very friendly and incredibly helpful. I felt the room was too small. There was a double bed and two singles, one being a camp bed and instead of removing the camp bed to make more room for the travel cot they just squeezed it in.

Best "Full English" breakfast on our 9 day-long trip. Other guests were noisy in the morning - not really the hotel's fault - lots of signs saying "shhhh", but kids were running up and down the corridors. Floorboards rather than concrete floor made this noisier.

Location was ideal for visiting relatives in the area. Lack of air conditioning in bedrooms - restricted window opening. A/c non-existent in corridors - temperature and atmosphere stifling and claustrophobic. All doors to corridors require much force to open - very difficult to manage for elderly and disabled persons. (Appreciate that these are Fire Doors, but there are ways and means to ease the strength of door-closers}. The evening meal (traditional fish and chips) in the restaurant was atrocious. The fish batter was like cardboard in the centre and very hard at each end. The fish inside was edible but extremely hot indicating that the meal had been cooked, or re-heated, in a microwave oven and not freshly done as expected. Similarly, the chips were apparently "warmed-up" and not freshly cooked, preumably by microwave. The meal was tasteless and certainly not to be recommended. Breakfast was completely lacking in organisation, apparently due to the absence of any discernable supervision;eg:- cereal bowls, cups, teaspoons, not provided until asked for; staff not immediately available when required to rectify this matter so guests were left standing around waiting like lost souls before being able to sit and eat/drink. If this is the normal standard of catering then I shall be eating elsewhere if I choose to stay here in future....

We had a comfortable stay. The service was excellent and the food arrangements first class. . My only criticism was the first room we were allocated, No 109, was over the outside seating area to the restaraunt and very noisy. It was a hot day and I was needing a rest after a busy, early morning and drive before we went out in the evening. It was impossible with the window open due to the noise. So I asked for a move to a quieter room which your staff arranged immediately. Otherwise very good would stay again
