Nestled amid the beautiful Cornish countryside, between Bodmin and Wadebridge, this charming hotel is beautifully set within a Grade II listed building, dating back to the early 18th century.
Score from 200 reviews Fabulous
Great breakfast. Bed quite comfortable and room very clean. Reception and resturant staff very helpful.
Poor sighage from main road making the hotel hard to locate. Didn't think it was particulaly good value for money.
Clean comfortable beds. Instant hot water
Rooms were great (yes the fans were needed), clean and functional. Comfy beds and pillows (plenty of them), very quiet at night. Staff were excellent, efficient, friendly and very polite. Great breakfast, good value and very tasty. Great location for exploring Cornwall with decent sized car park.
the service and attention in dining room and at breakfast . very helpful to disabled customer
Loved the different pillows
Good location and facilities. Friendly staff who were very good at changing our room requests at the last minute. Great breakfast
Bar closed early. A bit expensive.
Helpful room location (No. 2) - no stairs to climb, and right next to entrance. Able to access pub from within hotel - not having to go out in the rain to do so.
Lack of obvious signage to easily locate Inn while driving along A30 - went past entrance and on into Bodmin - only found it on way back up hill, and then only pub name is mentioned, not "Premier Inn"
We were able to change to a continental breakfast without any problem. Staff were very approachable and helpful.
The staff were friendly
1. Poor cleanliness in dining room. Eg. Breakfast stands of cereal brought out dirty from previous use. 2 . The inclusion of farmed river fish from Vietnam on the menu, passed off as the fish part of good old British fish and chips. In Cornwall , for goodness sake!!!!!!
Huge rooms, great breakfast - good quality ingredients, good standard of decor, friendly staff, plenty of parking
Staff were friendly and helpful. Ideal location for what we wanted with on site restaurant facilities.
No obvious signs. We past it 3 times before we found it. No mention on booking.com that it had another name ie Callywith. Pure chance that we noticed it set back off the road. Rubbish from KFC on the grass frontage.
The location of the hotel which was ideal for us and the size of the main room.
Restaurant. Helpful staff.
Location is great staff are always helpful.
Restaurant and car park always busy, bit of a mare for us business travellers after a long day.
Friendliness of staff, good selection at breakfast, Good facilities. Cleanliness of room.
Could have done with soap in bathroom other than from a dispenser.
-Price. -Decent room. -Tasty & good value restaurant.
when we arrived our room wasn't ready yet, but they then gave it priority cleaning whilst we were having a drink in the bar.
The restaurant seemed a bit dark in places and there weren't many low easy chairs/sofas about.
Staff smoking around the front entrance door
Perfect, great value for money, lovely, clean and very cosy
Well placed for my journey
Staff didn't engage with me - so not put at ease being a solo traveller. Quality of food was poor compared to other premier inns I've stayed at. Room was "tired" in need of updating
The room was large and clean as well as the bed being very large and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast superb. Great value.
The staff were helpful, it was clean and welcoming on a dreadful night Nice bed Good, if somewhat greasy breakfast.
No phone in the room so I couldnt ask for an early mornig call Bathroom was uninviting, shower was underpowered. Towels thin. No shampoo or conditioner
Friendly staff on check in, quick response to requests
Only one set of towels in the bedroom. No iron, and no phone to call reception.
The reception being manned all the time. Any requests such as a spare towel delivered immediately. Being next door to an inn for drinks and food. Proximity to Bodmin and other attractions. The comfort and quiet of our room.
The hills! Not your fault but it makes a walk a real exercise. The TV was a bit strange but after a few atempts we were able to watch the programmes we wanted to watch.
Good breakfast and we enjoyed dinner at the next door table 2 table too
