Premier Inn Bolton West991 Chorley New Road, Horwich, Bolton, BL6 4BA (Show map)
Very good,
Score from 47 reviews
“ The hotel was clean and inviting. The staff were very helpful and friendly, we didn't know any local taxi numbers and the receptionist was happy to advise us and phone around a few of them. The room was plenty big enough for myself and my Husband, along with our children, aged 15 and 10. Comfortable beds and a choice of firm or soft pillows really exceeded our expectations. ”

Staff helpful and extremely courteous. Heating control a nightmare. Very cold when we visited. Temp control maximum 23 degrees. When this temp is reached the system shuts off and has to manually be reset frequently to switch heating back on. Eg dropped from 23 to 15 in 45 minutes.

The man on the front desk was excellent. He was friendly and professional and tried hard to make the stay a good one. The Wifi didnt work in the room. The TV was volume limited I presume to keep other guests from being disturbed however it was so low I could barely hear it in the room. The food was in a nearby pub.

It was really great. Great staff and great location! We did miss breakfast, so room service would of been nice, but we didn't get in until 8 o'clock in the morning! Great night though! Thanks guys! No shower gel or shampoo. Or an iron. Apart from that! Fantastic!

Reception was very welcoming and the room was well presented!! Compared to the professionalism of the hotel side, unfortunately, the bar side of the restaurant let it down, with the exception of the waitress, Lois, on 24 Oct and the breakfast waiter on 25 October, who were both caring and concerned for the guests - you are a credit to the establishment! Firstly, there was only one person behind the bar at 6.30-7pm (a very busy time) to serve drinks AND take orders for the restaurant. They were then joined by a young lady who was very professional and accomplished in ignoring all the waiting guests! Nearly 2 hours to order, wait and eat a one course meal - I don't think so.

More or less perfect for our needs. Room was too warm. Windows open fully but still too warm, even with fan. At home we have a large ceiling fan which is on 365 days per year.
