lovely and big
bed to low problem getting of it.
my wife and I went to a wedding reception at olddown manor Which was the same day as our wedding aniversary. I arranged with reception to have flowers in our room for my wife, to our surprise the room was decorated with a banner, balloon and a lovely towel decoration covered in glitter!! Many thanks for making it special
Have stayed here several times when visiting my sister in Thornbury. Room 26 was great very quiet and with an enormous bed.
convenient location Very Helpful staff Excellent breakfast
The staff, the location and the beds and bedding.
The entry system when the doors were looked after a certain time. Numbers had worn off and barely visible.
Very nice room, I could watch the cricket from the balcony!! Comfortable beds. Quiet Hotel.
Bathroom taps very fierce, water splashed out of basin!
Really helpful, friendly staff on reception. Clean, comfortable rooms. Everything that we needed to make our stay a happy one.
Clean and airy room balcony facing cricket pitch and very quiet. Staff very happy and welcoming. Would definitely go back! Lovely hotel all round.
free parking & good facilities
the room, especially the balcony overlooking the cricket field
poor public transport connections other than to Bristol
Friendly helpful staff. Basic, but clean and comfortable room. Good food.Plenty of free parking.
No roof over walk to restaurant next door. Only one easy chair in twin room.
Starting to look tired! Needs a makeover.
No wi fi. Poor fitting doors and windows, letting noise into room.
Location was very good for us, Pub and restaurant next door for evening meals and superb breakfast.
Rather rundown building, and a bathroom that was serviceable but very tired,.....However I understand that a renovation is in progress and i'm sure will transform Premier Inn Bristol.
Very comfortable. Liked that we could come and go easily and check in late.
When we arrived we were informed a double room was reserved for us instead of a family room. Having 2 children aged 5 and 2 and having driven 6 hours from Lancashire this was disappointing, we had to wait in reception for longer than anticipated while this was rectified. The staff member was very helpful and accommodating during this time.
We stayed here as we were going to the Tom Jones event in Chepstow. We arrived at 6pm and were greeted immediately by the friendly staff. Checking in took only a couple of minutes and was hassle free. We stayed on the first floor, our room had a balcony and a lovely view which overlooked Thornbury cricket ground. The room was very spacious and clean, with a huge and very comfortable king size bed. Breakfast in the morning was again excellent, we had the full cooked breakfast option with as much tea, toast and fruit juice as you wanted. Again this was faultless. We would highly recommended staying here and would not hesitate to return.
Everything was as I expected
The price has increased a lot in the last 2 years
Breakfast was better than expected and the bed was comfortable.
Hard to find the entrance which was frustrating after a 4 hour drive- had to call the hotel and re-trace my steps!
Large room, large comfortable bed and a good view.
difficulty of reserving 5 rooms and no discount for block booking
very friendly and helpful staff, comfortable beds, clean bathroom, parking.Very good breakfast.
Easy to locate parking available quiet location friendly and helpful staff comfortable nights sleep
The scaffolding that has been erected around the property has been there for some time now?
It was convenient for visiting our friends in Thornbury. Room was clean and adequate. Kettle and tea/coffee provided. Just a short walk to The Swan for food.
Scaffolding up outside the room. En-suite smelt really badly of cigarettes. We complained but were not offered another room.
Nothing, it was fine
NOTHING. For Reply my name in Susan Johnson of Louth and we were due to stay on the night of 30th of May. My email is email@example.com
My husband and I booked this as a halfway house on our route to Devon. Upon arrival it was not only awful looking but a complete shambles. There were people complaining to reception left right and center. The only disabled parking (my husband has a blue badge), was directly under the scaffolding, which was dangerous to say the least. With the whole mess in mind, we decided it was an impossible place to stay and asked the receptionist to cancel our booking and find somewhere else for us to stay. She booked us into your hotel in Exeter which was 90% of our journey to Salcombe. This was quite acceptable but much more expensive and we had to argue about the free breakfast which we had payed for in Alveston. The whole experience was less than acceptable and in our opinion did not live up to the TV advertisement. Finally we had booked a twin room at Alveston, but all we could get at Exeter was a double bed and a childs bed which was less than comfortable.
although the hotel was undergoing some refurbishment there were no obstructions and no mess. access to the adjoining complex for dining facilities was excellent for all particularly families. general cleanliness was fair. the provisions for making a cup of refreshment was most welcome, the cost of rooms for a single traveller was fair.
although generally of no real concern the interior quality of the woodwork in some places around doors in particular were a little bit untidy.
The convenience of both location and 24hr access knowing that I would get a comfortable stay at the end of my night.
I thought the price was quite high, however I did book late!
