A Premier Inn hotel with air-conditioned rooms and a superb central Bristol location. Next to modern bars and historical pubs, you can walk to theatres, city-centre shops and the harbourside.
Score from 233 reviews Very good
The Washington is a Grade 2 Listed building less than a mile from central Bristol, and a 10-minute walk from Clifton Village. The guesthouse offers cooked breakfasts and individually decorated rooms.
Score from 720 reviews Good
Premier Inn Haymarket's staff are friendly and helpful (special thanks to Drew for help with car parking). Since the makeover Premier Inn countrywide can be relied on for a clean, comfortable and quiet night's sleep. It's a little thing, but I like the new design of the shower curtains - just gives you that bit of extra space in the shower!
Location and availability of rooms for large groups
Staff in restaurant always helpful and efficient, clean room.
staff on reception patronizing, talked to me constantly while I was trying to check in on the automated check in, asked her to go away and still carried on talking while I was trying to put my card pin in, carried on talking at me so much so that I got my pin wrong and my pin was blocked! No hairdrier in the room, just a card saying room being re furbished and ask at reception,I had already washed my hair,,, I stayed about 6 months ago and the same card was displayed, so how long does it take to replenish the hair drier
central to all bristol has to offer, easy access to coach station and local buses
on return to hotel at 4pm room had not been serviced, advised reception, head of house keeping came to check after 45mins, said cleaner would be along later!!!!.no apology, i was so angry i went out for meal came back a hour later room had just been done.having use premier before it was big dissappointment
The room was very clean Bed comfortable
I thought it was a bit expensive as there was no breakfast in with the price
Staff were fantastic. Restaurant food and service spot on. Will definatley book here again
Wi Fi was difficult to connect to for a technofobe like me
Breakfast was fantastic and so were the staff that served me. Very friendly and hospitable and gave personal service with a smile.
Close to shops and a stones throw from the bus station
ON 17th floor it was very quiet.
I usually stay in Premier Inn Hotels when I travel in UK, because they have such a good value for money. This was in the City Centre and in ten min you could reach the very popular Harbour area. We had a lovely dinner at Glass Boat Restaurant there. To get to Clifton you need around 20 min or so. From the airport we took a cab and for a family of four it was a good deal. We payed 25£ and the Express Bus family ticket was not much cheaper so it was not worth the effort. We have decided to visit The Roman Bath and it was really easy to get there. It is 25 min walk to Temple Meads Railway Station (way faster by cab and not that expensive, considering the price we have payed for the airport) and then 15 min by train to Bath City. In Bath you do not need transport, the railway being located near the touristic area. Although the hotel is close to a huge roundabout, it is very well isolated so we were not bothered by the traffic outside. The staff at the reception is really friendly and helpful. The room was spotless and with a fresh smell and so was the bathroom. You can have amazing views over the city if you get a room at 6th floor or upper and facing the front part of the hotel. Unfortunately we have got a room facing the rear side at 4th floor, where there is a Hospital :( The restaurant is also very nice and decently priced, with many options for kids. Overall I really liked it and I reccomend this hotel.
The air conditioning in the room was too loud. The second night I have decided to turn the heat off and it was better. It did not get colder over the night, the hotel having good isolation. Also I was not happy that I had to wait too long to check in. We arrived at 1pm and we got into the restaurant since we were advised that the check in was after 2pm and two hours later the room was still not ready ( no pillow cases, they said :)) meanwhile they changed shift and we had to start all over again And wait an other half an hour.
Well checked in at 1am and by 2.2.15am there's a knock at the door to tell us we were making to much noise there was only 2 of us in there and we were not making any noise.
Good location for our needs - nearby hospital. Staff friendly and helpful, tackled all our needs promptly and without fuss.
Address wrong if coming by car. No directions for customers coming by car. (Behind hotel on another road with no signs to it). Hotel ad. showed dozens of pictures of a bed instead of something more useful like the Hotel front which might help to find it. Room was cold as fan could not be used because of noise but fixed by having an electric fire
Very good location , good for money, comfortable bed , very good staff and breakfast good
Only thing is the bathroom wasn't clean enough
Location, free wi fi, comfort breakfast
Room was very clean but the hotel outside was very scruffy.
We stayed two nights and could not get the car parked at all over that period in the car park and had to park a mile away.
The location is excellent,at the bus station And near the mall and restaurants.b
Bathroom had a very small sink, but adequate. However, not having a hot/cold mixing valve makes washing a chilling or scalding experience. Another minor inconvenience, bathtub bottom is not flat.
The helpful way the manageress went out of her way to move us to another room so we could have a view that we liked. Also I liked the helpfulness of the cleaning lady. Very good
Bed was comfortable and bath was very relaxing, considerably quiet given the location, would recommend.
The food, the environment, the location, the staff
The window cannot be opened
only one chair for two persons!!!! we asked for another , but did not get
The location of the hotel
There was no soap and body/hair liquid in the bath room. We asked the reception to send some in the bedroom as soon as possible because we wanted to take a shower before going out. We waited for about two hours and then we went to the reception to ask for some. The reason they gave is that they were very busy and they didn't send us any!!!!!
Perfectly adequate and comfortable for a short business stay - would return
No hairdryer and noisy aircon!
Location and security and being able to store luggage before check in and after check out
Being on 15th floor. No lounge area to sit in within the hotel.
good location, friendly staff
Bed was so comfy Location was good
Overpriced Breakfast was poor
