Extremely friendly lady on reception seemed proud of the hotel. Restaurant connected to the hotel was rather convenient. Was a good location as we were heading out to London the next day and it was on that side of town.
A wee drive from Bristol, but a quiet area was nice.
Meal on Friday evening was very good and well served
Breakfast on Saturday morning was very poorly organised kept running out of food which took several minutes to correct
nice room,pub next door good.
Booking error at check-in, ie kids beds not made up. Too hot in bed (heating was off!)
The room was immaculate
Our room was fine, clean and adequate for one night.
We were disappointed that the breakfast area was not manned adequately to prevent young children climbing (yes climbing) up to reach food from the hot bar and the croissants above the hot toaster. The hot food was very poor quality and looked as though it had been under the 'heater' for hours! Food spillages were disgusting! Very disappointed to not have a phone in our room for emergencies, and when the fire alarm went off we had no idea of what to do or where to go as there was no signage in our room to explain. Thank goodness there was no emergency with either of us as we would not have been able to summon assistance. This should be rectified immediately.
Location was good for a break of journey. Comfortable and welcoming; few frills, but as advertised. Staff helpful and informed. Attached Beefeater useful.
comfort, ambience in the restaurant and excellent staff
everything was was fine, location suited us as we were visiting a friend in hospital
on arrival I was asked if we had booked 2 rooms when I explained there must be a mistake as my confirmation was for only 1. Not a problem I was told but now I find I have been charged for 2 rooms. Contacted them by phone - told they would sort it out and phone me back- not heard from them,
The staff were friendly and informative
The shower was shocking, and definitely needs a booster pump. There was a long dark hair in the bath when we arrived which was very uninviting.
Rooms were fantastic, ultra clean, bathroom, amazing facilities, Staff, very efficient and friendly ,breakfast in the adjoining Beef Eater restaurant was excellent , as much bacon eggs etc as you wanted. marks 10 out of 10
Beefeater on site good. Hotel staff friendly. Room lovely
Menu in beefeater needs to have cheaper, lighter snacks such as sandwiches.
Convenient location, helpful staff.
Security light outside my window was on all night.
comfy bed value location
cramped room shower
The whole experience was very good. Room spotless. Bed very comfy.
After a disappointing stay previously, was really pleased on this stay. Staff very helpful, especially Nicole. Food and breakfast service greatly improved. Very clean and comfortable. Would recommend to all.
Helpfulness of staff
One dirty towel left in room when we arrived.
very slow check in despite 2 people behind reception only one was doing check in. Also while the checking in the person in front of me, the receptionist left reception for about 10 min to check if the room for that guest is ready(!?) leaving us to wait and stare at other receptionist, who after few minutes finally decided to maybe check me in in the mean time.
Nice big room
Not much storage space
Staff very polite and attentive. Beds very very comfy.
Inconsiderate other guests having a loud conversation outside our bedroom door in the early morning.
Basic but clean. Though the toilet smelt of wee to me! It looked clean but there was definitely a whiff of urinal about it!
Suppose to be checking in at 2pm onwards. We arrived at 4pm and the room wasn't ready!
The room was brand new
Although we asked for it cot wasnt in the room.
The overall experience of staying in a well organised, clean hotel, with good service & staff. The food was good & readily available.
That we as paying customers, were asked to pay an unacceptable charge of 3 pounds per day for the use of wfi !!! not good enough!! Even the National Express Coaches have it on for FREE????
lovely refurbished room and bathroom
too close to front door of restaurant/pub could hear every word from three different groups leaving throughout the early hours
Food Staff friendliness and helpfulness New room and its design Cleanliness Location and greenery
