The rooms are nice, spacious and the beds comfortable. The staff were friendly and pleasant. The breakfast was excellent with plenty to eat and drink. Would have liked to have more coffee and tea in the room. Only two of each so if you both drink coffee you can only have one cup each. The toaster at breakfast was not very good, had to put the pieces of bread through twice to make it toast, otherwise it was just warmed up bread.

The price of the evening stay was extremely reasonable. The room smelled stale and was fairly cold. Even after operating the thermostat the heater did not seem to operate.

Unfortunately we were unable to access the 30 mins free wii-fi which we required despite advising reception. Reception staff were very helpful and advised that they would contact the service provider. Unfortunately it still didn't work. Apart from this everything was really good.

Convenient and easy way to do business in the area. The squeaky floor boards and noisy corridors.

The room was very clean and brilliant for the children, we liked the fact that there were 2 proper beds for them as opposed to a pull out bed that we have had when staying some years ago. Money was refunded for the one night we were disturbed which we were very appreciative of. The second night was horrendous with the people next to us being extremely noisy which disturbed us from 12.40am till 2.30am. I rang through to reception though and they were more than helpful and did try to get a response from those in adjacent room.

All the staff were very helpful the location was excellent for our needs. Having the pub and ball park on site was an added bonus. There was nothing that as a family we didn't like it met our needs in every way.

Staff were always extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms were perfect, clean and warm at all times even though we stayed over Christmas. Hotel is set right beside the Leeds-Liverpool canal and although it is fenced off for safety reasons, it is very beautiful. Breakfast was excellent, very good selection even for vegetarians and always fresh and hot. I would definitely stay here again. My only complaint was with the onsite pub/restaurant which closed and hour and a half earlier than the advertised time. However this is not part of the hotel, even though this is where breakfast is served, but our complaints were heard very sympathetically by hotel staff who gave us details of where to complain to.

Good secure parking Big room Tea & coffee making in room Very good breakfast Towells Door chain on room door Impressed by TV although did not use it. position of toilet flush button , you have lower toilet lid to flush. No apparent spare /back up toilet roll. In the dark toilet light switch not easy to find, a sensor option would be far more practical . Recommend a further sign in the shower area re requirement to shut the door to avoid unwantedfirealarms, I did not see sign on door and only had requirement pointed out by my wife. Need a covered walway between reception and restaraunt, Need only be a roof say 2m wide that would keep rain off

It did what it says on the tin. I needed an overnight stop as I had to attend meetings in the area. Bed, bathroom, TV, Pub with food - that's all I needed. That was the 3rd time I've stayed at the hotel and I'll stay there again when in the area. At the price, nothing to complain about.

The location is convenient to the downtown area, yet secluded from traffic noise. The staff were very helpful with our logistics and local arrangements. The rooms were quite comfortable. The restaurant offered excellent food, although the gluten-free options were limited. Our ground-floor room (requested) was just off the carpark, and, late at night, we could hear noisy young people leaving the restaurant/bar next to the hotel.
