We needed somewhere to stay for my son's football tournament at St George's Park. The Premier Inn at B-U-T fitted the bill admiarbly. We had dinner and breakfast in the pub next door and both were absolutely fine. The booking process was a bit clunky - we had to book breakfast separately and there was some confusion as to how many rooms we wanted - which was resolved quickly by the bookings people over the phone. The hotel itself was fine.

In general, this Premier Inn was up to standard in all areas except one...check in.... The lack of attention and staff at check in..we waited at least 10 minutes before a member of staff appeared. To add insult to injury,he then tried to charge us for breakfast twice. We booked on line -charge was £70.50 for one room for two adults, for one night plus breakfast. Receptionist said charge was £84.50 However, he did recant when asked to check details again. .

We had a power cut in one of our rooms at lunchtime on Saturday and brought it to the attention of staff. We were out Sat night, but by Sunday morning it had still not been fixed.

As with all Premier Inns this one was clean and presentable. The breakfast was good. As the room was for my brother and his friend I paid for the room as they checked in and in cash. I had an issue with the receptionist as she said that I had given her £20 too little. I know that I hadn'T. I contacted the manager who followed my complaint through - and said that according to what he could see on the cctv there was no case to answer. However, I got a call from the receptionist after my brother checked out doing a review....I Have never had a phone review from Premier Inns! I believe that she was just checking to see if I was going to say anything about the theft!!

Very basic room - no fridge, no wardrobe, no towel rail in bathroom, no phone, no free wi-fi. Poor breakfast service on Saturday morning - waited five minutes to be seated and then fifteen before staff even took my order. Then it had to be cooked - in all over an hour spent just getting breakfast. The experience on Sunday was much better - faster due to different staff being on.
