Just off highway A56 in Bury, Lancashire, this splendid 19th-century property overlooks peaceful parkland, yet is within easy reach of the busy center of Manchester.
Score from 40 reviews Very good 8.3/10
very nice, helpful staff, very clean, great location, easy to find.
Locality, very handy for town centre and ammeneties.
Our side of the hotel, Could hear the Metro link, which could be a problem for some people
Breakfast was poor. Cooked items had clearly been cooked sometime earlier and were hard and dried up.
clean comfortable rooms
Quality of accommodation Helpful, friendly staff, Value for money
location breakfast clean modern
bit noisy outside.
All staff very helpful food choice excellent ideal location for manchester
Everything! The staff were great, the food was excellent, the rooms were spotlessly clean and tidy, very comfortable beds with a choice of firm or soft pillows, i can honestly not say one wrong thing about the place! Would definetly recommend. Fantastic value for money!
Everything was great service from staff was excellent good location and great coffee :-) didn't have one problem
Would have preferred a small fridge in the room and plugs near the bed side table would have been great
Fabulous welcome, staff all very friendly. Room immaculate. Great restaurant for evening meals.
Car park separate from Premier Inn. On arrival could not see how to get to the hotel from the car park. Had to pay £5 a night for this.
Very clean and comfortable Attentive staff Food good Not my first visit , will definately stay again when in Bury area
Very comfortable beds great food
Friendly staff Bar open late Location Cleanliness
Price was a little more than we'd usually spend
Staff outstanding, location perfect for the town centre and anyone using the town hall for a special occasion. Great food, late bar and a Costa machine!Good value, secure car park.
Breakfast was poor and cold !
Breakfast was very good and a comfortable nights stay at the hotel
Very friendly staff...super accommodating! Enjoyable stay a stone's throw away from the town centre.
This was close to a friend I was visiting, so the locations was great, clean, and inexpensive.
The room was QUITE HOT, and you cannot open the window enough to cool down. This made sleep difficult - which is the point of having a hotel.
The service from the staff was excellent and location was good.
The lack of parking facilities on hotel site. This is one of many premier inn I have used but the only one I have ever had to pay for parking.
comfort and knowing what i get value for money
the lift doesn't work 24 hours, and the lift to the car park had no light bulb in the lift not very nice for claustrophobic people
Friendliest, most obliging hotel staff I have ever come across without exception. Even the chefs came out to the dining area at breakfast and evening meal to chat with customers and ensure everyone satisfied.
The staff The bed.
On arrival the card terminal malfunctioned so that I was unable to check in . The staff tried all they could but there is NO back-up system such as manual entry of the card nyumber or payment over the phone. This caused me to miss nearly an hour of the festival i was in Bury to see. The car parking arrangements are terrible. It is a privately owned underground car park and the hotel validates your ticket. On leaving the validation did not seem to work despite returning to reception to get the ticket re-validated. When i got to the barrier it demanded extra payment. when i pressed the heklp button it was eventually answered by a truly obnoxious person who , when i explained that i was a hotel guest and needed to leave so could he please raise the barrier was told "Don't make demands" Well I am afraid that when i am being detained against my will and made late (again) for something important i feel i have everry right to make demands. I will be contacting Premier Inns head office directly about this incident. I will certainly not be using this hotel again because despite the high quality staff they are working in a low quality situation for which they have my sympathy. Finally £8.95 for breakfast on top of a £50 room fee in East Lancashire is over the top. I went to a nice little cafe in the market across the road and got a fantastic breakfast for less than £5 inc coffee and toast and marmalade !!!
Spotlessly clean, all the facilities we needed, helpful staff, great location
Some noise from railway, which didn't bother us but might affect some travellers
The meal at the premier inn was lovely but we had to wait 40 mins for it too arrive, a long time when you have 2 teenagers!!
