tv sound level set too low.told reception but she wouldn'T help. whats the point of A tv with no sound. (I have no hearing problems)

The. Mattress was a bit hard

The welcoming staff were excellent, very friendly,cheerful, and helpful. Well done girls. Also the provision of liquid soap, both for the wash basin and shower was a nice touch.

The food in the pub next door is cheap, but very uninspiring - often overcooked and lukewarm. The staff in the pub are definitely not as welcoming as those in the hotel. Given the fact that it's hard to find anywhere decent to eat in Caerphilly, the Cedar Tree could do well to improve.

Two single beds made up in our double room meaning space was compromised

Staff were particularly pleasant, friendly, helpful, and efficient. Always acknowledged residents passing thro' reception. Breakfast arrangements were convenient, but maybe less so if the weather was inclement .

The restuarant next door was not very good. We didnt enjoy our evening meal one bit.

Everything! The Lenny Henry advert lived up to its promise. The bedroom and en-suite bathroom were spotless and beautifully decorated. The inn was ideally located for our purposes.

Meals are taken at the Cedar Tree next door. The staff were pleasant and helpful, providing the gluten-free bread and soya milk I had requested when booking. However, though the food was plentiful and tasty, because it was a hel-yourself buffet both our evening meal (6.30ish) and our cooked breakfast at 7.30am were warm rather than hot. But this is a minor point and certainly would not dissuade us from staying there again.

Rooms were a good size able to control heating in the room as normally rooms far to hot the Cedar Tree which is where you could eat was friendly & the food was good & hot when served

Good position, easy to get to from the Mototrway. Freindly efficient staff on the desk. Quiet, had a great nights sleep.

Convenience to Cardiff University

Small TV, Soap dispencer in shower caused the shower curtain to not close properly and soaked the bathroom floor.
