Helpful staff, cleanliness, parking
I have some mobility problems and when booking asked for a room with a walk-in shower. I was not informed there were none available until I arrived which is far too late, obviously! An accessible room should only have a walk-in shower or wet room not a SHOWER OVER A BATH WHICH GUESTS MAY NOT BE ABLE TO CLIMB INTO . HOW IS THIS ACCESSIBLE?!
The staff were very good
Comfort & cleanliness of room. Breakfast buffet was also very good with plenty of choice.
Cleanliness and comfort
The room was clean and practical. Tea and coffee making facilities. Comfortable bed. Continental breakfast good value.
Bed was good
The tone of letter accusing me of smoking on the corridor! The cost of breakfast. Waitrose is cheaper and better
Food staff room
Clean, friendly good quality, well priced food. Quiet room, easy parking
Flaky wi fi. Overpriced bar.
Easy check-in/check-out. Good-sized room. Very good continental breakfast.
Not a bad experience, but, in this day and age, you really should not be charging for wi-fi.
Disabled room is fine
Menu and quality of food is very poor indeed and this includes the overcooked brakfasts that varied little between 7.00 am and 9.30 am. Very poor indeed
Big comfy bed and excellent breakfast
Noise from A14 road
Room is quite noisy. There is no good restaurants nearby, except hotel's which is a fair restaurant at best. The elevator (or lift) broken down when I was there and had to take the stairs for a couple of days.
Travelled to Cambridge for a sports event and stayed one night. Arrived after midnight. The night receptionist was friendly and what I noticed was his discretion at giving my room number and rom location, although I wasn't travelling alone and travelled with 3 other men. As I was cutting weight for an event I didn't try the breakfast. Was really grateful for a comfortable bed after a long journey and trying to focus for my event. Room was a good size and clean. Would like to have extra coffee, milk and sugar in the room.
Extra coffee etc. Is a must.
Easy checkin, friendly staff
Evening meal choice poor if you are staying all week
The food was too English for me. Not my taste. Sorry. Nevertheless, prices are good+, service is great.
Staff were great, very friendly. Nice and clean and good food. Well priced.
Didn't sleep well pillow was to large and hurt my neck. And temperature in the room was hard to control.
Breakfast and room were great
Pillows were awful, my partner didn't sleep much at all.
The food was excellent.
rooms Nice place all round free parking
A little out of the way if you don't have a car. the bus service from town is rubbish later in the evening. no Free Wifi
Free Wifi as paid not working Excellent for me to work
After washing my long hair at 2230 to find no hairdryer !
Everything except how to find the hotel wjhich was hidden behind a housing estate.
Difficulty in finding a way in to the hotel via a housing estate.
As comfortable as it should be. Good nights rest.
Desk staff were courteous and quick to get us into our room.
With a young baby there was no parking near the front or access to the rear of the building to get everything into the room. This meant several trips either way at the beginning and end of the stay. Spaces for young families that can be reserved in advance might work? Or even trolleys to bring in bags? I did ask for help from staff with the transition but they were extremely busy at the time, so understand why they could not.
Great breakfast, didn't need lunch.
Parking could be tight when busy but alright gor when we were there.
