Score from 521 reviews Very good
Hard uncomfortable beds, horrid, overpriced 'cooked' breakfast.
Location was good, within walking distance of the town centre. It was quiet and comfortable. Easy parking.
Odour in bathroom, possibly caused by lack of cleaning of the plug hole in the bath.
Clean quiet and comfortable, away from the M6 noise. Don't be put off by the older style property and excellent restaurant attached.
no free WiFi
Booked my room for myself and my two sons 13 and 15 through booking.com. My youngest decided he didn't want to join us. When I arrived at the hotel the receptionist, who was very nice, advised me that the room was only made up for single occupancy. Although this didn't pose a huge problem for me and my son to share a double bed, these are huge anyway but if my youngest had have came with us then we would've had a problem. The receptionist advised the mistake was with booking.com. It may be advisable if booking this way to call hotel and clarify the booking prior to arrival. The hotel and staff were excellant, couldn't fault any of it. Very comfortable, clean and breakfast was fantastically great value.
Booking system via booking.com
Clean comfortable not far from the city Center.
Clean and cosy. Attached restaurant was good value and good fare.
helpful staff; quiet location of room
first room was located in a noisy situation even though i requested very quiet,
I loved the bedding so much i had to go buy something similar for home. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
the peace and quiet
Close to highway
The Restaurant was well staff and run well.
Booking service very slow. The room was cramped too small for three people. The room smelt of rotting carpets Apparently the room had flooded previously. The hotel was apparently fully booked and so no alternative room was offered or was available. I shall never stay here again. Not at the price I paid. The staff had regular complaints about this room and yet management had not acted. Not acceptable.
The staff were very friendly & the location near to the motorway exit.
THe staff were very nice and helpful. Noticeably so. That makes such a difference, The room was clean and quiet. Good value for money.
Ideal location just a couple of minutes off motorway, but far enough away that could hear no traffic. Evening meal in bar restaurant was very good value. Room was ideal for our family.
The shelf covering the top of toilet cistern was broken. Had to rescue wash bag that tipped off it down into the hollow compartment. We reported it the next morning to reception.
Staff friendliness- efficient and helpful. Attached to restaurant/bar
Room good size for familu. Easy to get to from M6.
Adjoining pub had good food and lively but all tables were sticky and greasy. Breakfast not up to usual premier inn standard. Adjoining pub let it down

pub was dirty pub had no Peroni on tap Ale ran out on Saturday Discourteousness of Front of house staff on arrival Being booked into a handicap room initially and having to move Housekeeping not quick enough to sort out beds once moved Quality of food in restaurant was obviously cheap Brakes Brothers standard.
Cleanliness of bedroom and bathroom, enough space to enable us to relax.
We thought that the difference in price between the continental breakfast and the cooked one wasn't balanced As a suggestion possibly the continental one could have been probably 50p lower.
The food was very good in the bar
Bathrooms had a damp smell.could not get hot water out of the shower
Staff were good with bed problem
Childs fold out bed uncomfortable
