Score from 990 reviews Very good
Just south of highway M6, Premier Inn Carlisle Central North is just 1.5 miles north of central Carlisle. The hotel is a comfortable, affordable base with an on-site restaurant and free parking.
Score from 97 reviews Very good

Score from 479 reviews Good
Located in the center of Carlisle, the Crown and Mitre has been refurbished to retain its Edwardian traits. It has free Wi-Fi, a restaurant, a bar and an indoor swimming-pool.
Score from 469 reviews Good
Liked the power shower in bathroom- excellent. Also my wife thought quality and power of hair dryer was excellent. All staff were exemplary - very polite and helpful. Excellent breakfast - good range and choice.
Within in minutes you can leave the M6 and be in your room - a good clean sufficiently spacious room and helpful staff in Reception and in the Restaurant.
The staff were really helpful and friendly
The food was unexpectedly outstanding, and staff were exceptionally helpful. Ugly outdated building but top class facilities.
Exceptionally long corridors!
Bathroom & Room was not clean
proximity to M6
staff in resturant were dirty and over familar the man in charge by his attitude alone made a bad meal even worse.
Consistently, comfortable and clean! I look forward to my next welcoming visit!
No swimming pool.
Location is good, bar area is good, food is ok but not great.
I have stayed in carlisle at least once a month for the last 20 years and this is the old carlisle holiday inn. It is located by a busy road. Unfortunately all the windows are single glazed so of your room is on the road side of the hotel it is noisy. Breakfast is the usual premier inn standard and not great. I would stay again if I could not get anywhere else but only on the quiet side of the hotel.
No iron in the room
Easy check in, good breakfast
Room pretty grotty, bathroom likewise
It's does what it says on the tin, The stair case arrangement was rather inconvenient with minor disabilities, and no passenger lift.
Only 1/2 hour free wifi........
Great for business travellers, everything you need is there.
Our stay was comfortable and good value for money. We would recommend this Premier Inn.
Simple idea. Great value.
Size and comfort of room
No lift for people in some parts Rooms can be noisy but is variable as is being in process of being done up
Resaurant & food(breakfast) Tired, so slept well
Access road after leaving M6 not too obvious in dark. Corridors could have been cleaner.
We think the meal deal is great value for money and most times we take advantage of it when we stay at Premier Inns
Comfy bed, clean room and bathroom.
Wifi not working - although I paid the £3 they charged for 24h, I could not use the internet all night. I tried the next morning. Reported that to the staff at the reception - he just shrugged and offered an apology but was not very sympathetic, which obviously tells me that it was not the first time this happened. The hotel needs some refurbishing and new broadband router/ISP
The room and comfort of the bed .
We had to wait on arrive to get a room when we was in a rush . And In the morning u hear the cleaner up and down the hall when you want a lie in .
The shower is old.
Convenience to the motorway, close to local stores, good park t and small but comfortable rooms. This hotel/motel is perfect for an overnight break in a long journey. Staff extremely friendly and helpful.
On this stay the quality of the cooked breakfast wasn't as good as our previous stay. However the choices were quite good. No air conditions in the rooms.
Good reception staff - apologetic for wait (queue) - Very helpful and friendly restaurant staff - attentive to my needs - easy to find off M6.
Bathroom fittings were a little tired (e.g. toilet seat a bit loose / bath chipped) - but everything worked - overall appearance of the decor was a bit worn.
Annoying flashing smoke detector
Hotel is in a great location for us doing the long journey to Scotland, staff are friendly and professional
It says in their room guide that they will never put single female guests on the ground floor or at the end of a corridor...this doesn't apply however if you book a family room for 3 people (mother and two young children). Staying during warm weather in a room where it felt unsafe to have the window open meant very poor nights sleep for us all. Staff tell me that I should b
Dinned no good. Long waiting time and food not satisfactory. Internet, difficult to get connection, only 30min free.
