Proximity to a quick breakfast in the morning. The kindnesses shown by the clerks at the desk. When we booked, we thought we were booking close to the main train station. After walking with luggage all the way from the main train station to the motel and discovering the mistake we had made ourselves, we realized we need to do a better job of inquiring about just how many stations there are in a given city. Once the staff explained how we could catch the local train to that main station, we were fine.

The room was large and comfortable, the service good and free parking was a bonus. We travelled around the UK and this was one of the most expensive hotels we stayed in - though I realise now it was because the Chester races were on and that prices were higher that we might have expected due to that. Also the price we were quoted on booking.com was LESS than what we were actually charged when we arrived.

Very nice staff, comfortable bed, quiet room and good breakfast -though at a price. We stayed here before and really liked it. Room rates far too expensive on this occasion because it was race week in Chester. Huge price rise because of that.

Typically reliable Premier Inn for reasonable cost. Nice pub next door. This PI is looking a bit tired, but is perfectly functional. I'm getting frustrated, in general, with PI hotels not matching the number of beds, towels and cups with the number of guests booked into the room. In this case, 3 of us arrived at 8pm to find one double bed, 1 set of towels and two cups. Not the first PI at which this has happened. It's not complicated maths, PI...

Location was great for Chester. The room was cold, even with the heating on full, it was still not warm enough. It was a big room, with a small radiator at one end. I told reception on the second day, and they gave us an electric fire to plug in. It would have also been warmer if the heaters in the hallways were working.

Spartan but adequate for our purposes visiting a sick family member at the Countess hospital.Only one chair to sit on in a room designated for two adults and two children. No ice available but a relatively minor incovenience.Bring your own soap if you do not like using a soap dispenser. Friendly and helpful front desk. Would stay again if needed.
