Having to pay for wifi is completely ridiculous, I had just spent £63 for ONE night less than 12 hours and you also expect me to pay for an additional fee for wifi, utterly ridiculous. Having no plugs in the rooms is also ridiculous, you make millions every year and you can't bear for additional electricity bills!! Premier inn need to make serious adjustments if they want to keep getting good business, really disappointed and unimpressed I won't be using premier in never again.
Stayed overnight with hubby and 3yr old grandson. Staff were very friendly, room enormous!! King bed and 2singles,spotless,lovely soft towels, great teabags!! Lovely deep bath, grandson spent a good few hours playing tunnels with pillows and duvets!! Had so much fun. Food in adjoining pub good, plenty of choice for all of us including myself who's a vegan. An excellent first time stay at this chain of hotel. We travel the world extensively and George has travelled with us, the room was an excellent choice for a family.
Nothing at all.
Bed and sleep quality.
No phones in the room; main entrance locked at midnight and no one staffing the reception desk; liquid soap only in the bathroom; tinny TV; no lift; hotel is completely outdated; no room service; the pub next door only supplies food until 9pm
I could not fault anything to do with my stay staff were really helpful , was lovely n clean .. Definitely returning next year !!!
Close to where we needed to be. Our quad room was absolutely huge and plenty of room. Pub attached served decent food and drink, although we did not have breakfast on this occasion. Staff were really helpful and friendly. Plenty of free parking.
Bed was a little hard and weirdly short also. The television in the room didn't work but would have certainly been fixed by staff if we had arrived earlier and hadn't had to leave early the next morning.
Car park, staff, close to Chester
Staff helpful and friendly. Bed comfy.
Not very central. Bathroom bit outdated.
It's really cheap but we had a comfortable sleep. Another thing that we enjoy a lot is the pub and grill next to the hotel that is very cheap but I had one of the best burgers in my life
Liked that there was a Morrisons near by and bus stop near by.
The room could of been set out bit better as one of the kids beds had a wall heater at the headboard it was worrying as she was playing with it at bedtime. My sons bed had a kettle screwed down right next to his bed I had to place the kettle ontop of the wardrobe because it was hot. And when I went to shop at 8:15pm my partner had to open window and tell people to move as there kids were kicking our wall by window, plus the floor boards in hotel wre horrendous could hear everyone walk by and in our room too.
We were in our way back to home, Dublin, so it was a perfect location to rest, charge batteries and take a break of the busy UK roads before to continue the trip.
Everything was just perfect, friendly & helpful staff that went above & beyond! Definitely recommend & will definitely stay again when we visit Chester again.
How lovely the staff were when twice we didn't book breakfast. Also the gentleman on late shift at reception went out of his way to ringvpub that my son hadvlist his ipad in . luckily we got it bk

Friendly and professional staff. Couldn't do enough for you.
Lack of air-com in bedrooms made rooms very uncomfortable
The location and friendly staff good bar and food
Had everything we wanted/needed for our short stay, Central is a given in the title. Would defo recommend.
A little difficult to find (hotel sign obscured as you approach from east. Otherwise very nice stay.
Finding it! Sat NAv postcode is out. Signposting poor.
Location good as we were attending a wedding a Chester Zoo. All the staff were very helpful and friendly and the room was spacious with a comfortable bed. A nice touch was the provision of a sheet in case we needed to discard the quilt if it got too hot.
Not too keen on the adjoining pub although all the staff were friendly and went out of their way to be helpful we felt the pub looked very tired and in need of decorating. Breakfast was good and the evening meal we had was ok - cheap and cheerful.
Helpful staff on check inn & check out
The staff was very nice, kind and helpfull
The carpets should be cleaner. Because we booked a 4 bed room. And my kids was always on the ground.
In the 1970's Max Boyce used to sing a song about a secret factory in Wales where first-class Welsh rugby players were mass-produced. We feel that the proprietors of Premier Inns must have a similoar factory somewhere for the mass-production of first-class hotel staff. Having stayed in Premier Inns in Belfast, Hereford, Shrewsbury and Chester, we are constantly impressed by the friendliness, helpfulness and efficiency of their staff.
staff at premier in reception extremely helpful, Egerton arms however was appalling in evening waitress attitude and food
egerton arms next door food was extremely poor ,extremerly greasy under cooked fried elements onion rings soggy, southern fried chicken coating was rock hard and grey, wouldn't eat there again, and was expensive for what was served, (if it wasn't for having the children with us I would have complained , also for got the sauce for wifes steak when asked where it was waitress all but said we didn't order it until she checked , also ordered pudding for son waitress brought it ,told her it wasn't the one we ordered , waitress then said it was the shortbread choc pudding when obviously wasn't had to show her picture on the menu to prove it was the lemon meringue they had brought , then went and changed for a rushed made pudding with a massive void in the glass by this stage we just wanted to leave . would certainly stay in premier inn again but would not want to eat in adjoining pub if this is the food standard , very costly expensive and probably the worse meal we have ever eaten out. nb the following evening we drove out found a pub and had probably one of the best meals we have had out at approx. 1/2 to 2rds the cost, the Egerton should go to the bird in hand at Sutton to find out how it should be done , have to say Egertons food was appalling or maybe we just hit it wrong , I would be happy to discuss it further if an executive would like to contact me
Staff were extremely helpful, Verity especially. She really is a commendation to Premier Inn.
