Score from 184 reviews Excellent
Stayed in a disabled room, which was huge and had a fantastic walk in wet room instead of a conventional bath or shower. From the moment we arrived the staff could not have been better.
There was nothing to dislike!
Great location, helpful and friendly staff, cleanliness, comfort and facilities, great food and restaurant.
shower good.bed comfortable and drinks in room.
no comfortable easy chair and with two people in room have to sit on bed. When we ask about extra chair we where offered another desk chair.
The bathroom facilities for disabled guest in a modified room. The reception staff attitude the ideal mix of professionalism and friendliness. A roomy bedroom.
Located on the main road, very cozy, very pleasant staff and facilities, great breakfast and overall a very clean and tidy place.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Clean and modern interior. The breakfast is superb and the staff can't do enough for you. Good location and very quiet.
We stayed two nights with our 13 yr old daughter in a quad room which only provided 6 coat hangers! We were all very disappointed with the beds and pillows. A good nights sleep is guaranteed. Not for us. The beds were too hard and pillows small and uncomfortable. Not good value for money.
Very clean , quiet , very helpful polite staff, excellent Breakfast
Family room big enough for family of four with older children to fit comfortably. Also liked the proper single beds for the kids instead of pull outs. Well designed space too possible for early risers to get up, make tea etc. without disturbing sleepers. Staff very friendly.
Good situation and affable staff
Room minimally furnished - no easy chair or low table
Amazing location. Extremely friendly staff. High premier inn standard as usual. Great beefeater attached with again amazing staff. Lovely place to stay for a few nights in the Peaks.
The restaurant was excellent and looked after us and our small grandchildren very well and our two visitors who joined us. The breakfast was fabulous and the serving ladies an absolute joy. Our room was perfect for sleeping which was all we wanted.
Staff friendly and helpful
Cot bed not comfy but staff there to help
Perfectly situated for visiting places such as Chatsworth and Hardwick House, it is relatively small and friendly. The staff were all friendly, welcoming and professional. The place is very well decorated, clean and tidy. The rooms are very good and the shower was superb. The air con worked (a rarity in other hotels) and the room window looked out over green and pleasant fields. We would happily stay there again, and would recommend this place to anyone.
We would have liked chairs in the room as there was nowhere to sit other than the bed.
Location beautiful , Staff very helpful , Rooms comfortable , Beds comfortable .Restaurant serving good food at a reasonable price .
all staff were very friendly and helpful
Spacious rooms which sleep four Very friendly Receptionist Great pub/restaurant next door serving great food and freshly prepared English breakfast
The hotel was very nice the staff very pleasant, the breakfast in the morning was more than enough to last the full day.the staff there were very good with our grandchildren as well.
There's nothing I didn't like about our stay, only it wasn't long enough.
excellent accommodation and value for money in the city of Sheffield
We loved the fact that this hotel was right on the edge of the Peak District. Easy travelling to beautiful scenery and only twenty minutes from Matlock Bath and The Heights of Abraham. It is well run and well kept along with great food in The Highwayman, both for dinner and breakfast.
We only had one night on this occasion!!!
Helpful friendly staff and wonderful, quiet location but still central to major attractions.
Great location for visiting the Peak District
Restaurant/bar excellent Room very clean Staff very pleasant Location great

Always very clean.
Very comfortable. Great location. Restaurant food good. Decent beer.
Understaffed restaurant. Staff overstretched. Patchy service. One or two exceptionalLY good staff. Entertaining international visitors here for the first time so disappointed.
