Staff were very welcoming and accommodating, making my stay more pleasant.
Extractor fan was outside my window for the adjoining pub, woke me early.
Good TV in room Beefeater pub restaurant adjoining does a good steak dinner.
No shaver socket in bathroom, or hair dryer in room.
Very friendly staff.
The staff is super friendly and very helpful. The staff in this hotel represents perfect customer service !!!! The location is perfect, very close to the train station.
Helpful staff, willing to help with questions.
Shower head needs updating
Staff. Location. Great night sleep
Food area Can be expensive. No fridge in the room (can be inconvenient in warm weather and for medication that needs refrigeration)
Receptionist was the best, most cheerful and efficient we have ever come across. She had a big smile last thing at night, and again very early next morning.
If anything, then the music during breakfast. Otherwise, excellent.
Professionalism and politeness of staff, especially Mr Barnie at the receptionl
Lack of common reception area
Convenience for Colchester station (10 min walk) and the friendliness of staff. Room was ideal to normal Premier Inn standards.
Only slight quibble is the need to ask for a hairdryer.
Staff very helpful and friendly. Location was good for Colchester. Room clean and comfortable
Lighting and mirrors not very good if your a woman and need to do your hair and makeup. A mirror under the tv would would be good.
Value for Money Friendly Professional Staff Excellent Service Clean Room Comfortable Bed First Class Location All What to Expect from Premier Inn
Excellent, friendly staff and comfortable stay (with very good breakfast); I travelled by train and the location of the Inn was good from that point of view - only a short walk or taxi ride from the station.
Only drawback was noise from the late traffic outside, but not Premier Inn's fault.
The staff was very helpful and seemed to genuinely care about our comfort. The hotel is a short walk from the old city and castle. The adjoining restaurant was great for breakfast and very convenient.
Easy quick checking in, efficient but very welcoming.
We came for one night because daughter was competing in a fencing competition at the Leisure Centre. Usual Premier Inn facilities, good sized beds, wi-fi.
Just a few small niggles. The curtains were a bit short and let the light in early in the morning. The Carvery next door was not up to the usual standard of Thyme at some of the other Premier Inns. Breakfast was ok, not great. Restaurant very tired looking. Staff very welcoming though :)
Very comfortable, spacious room with LOADS of electricity sockets. My 1st stay in a Premier Inn and I slept superbly - as they promise! Nice Beefeater next door where we took advantage of the excellently priced 2-course dinner & breakfast package
Close to main road through Colchester so fair amount of traffic noise that the double glazing couldn't cope with
The breakfast and location.
The blanket was too thick for summer!
Bed very comfortable and staff friendly
Breakfast at the Beefeater, very slow service and waited 20minutes for breakfast to arrive. Had to ask for bread for toast, coffee, water and butter.
Robyn at front desk was amazing, very helpful.
very central hotel with a short walk to town centre, staff could not be any more helpful.
When we first saw the hotel and where it was located (near a busy road and roundabout) I was a bit concerned that it would be a nightmare but in fact I couldn't have been more wrong. Once in the room you couldn't hear the traffic and also we had air-con which was a huge bonus as it was very muggy when we stayed. The pub/restaurant right next door was fantastic as you can just have your meals and walk back to your room without worrying about driving (especially if you've had a few drinks of course). Also congratulations to all the staff who were all very polite, friendly and exceptionally helpful which made all the difference and made the stay even more pleasurable.
It's not really something they can do anything about really but the only niggle I had was noise from whoever was above us in the hotel when we stayed - stomping about on the floor until late and then again from really early in the morning but that is just people being inconsiderate - not the hotels fault.
The staff in the hotel we're very polite and friendly and happy to help
The restaurant where we had breakfast the staff were unfriendly it wasn't very clean you had to wait a long time to get served. Overall were not made to feel welcome
Perfect place to rest up after flight from USA for a night before going to harwich to get on cruise. Nice restaurant to grab a bite and the castle park is so lovely as is the quaint town.
