Staff were so helpful
Nice relaxed & friendly Lovely breakfast
Duvet too heavy for kids which resulted in a lot of tossing & turning and no sleep for anyone.
Good location, quiet area, clean room
Staffs aren't very helpful with coky attitude. Bath tub is too shallow Fire alarm in the middle of the night, constantly.
That I had no kettle on first note and that fire alarm went off at 5.30am and no apology or compensation made for either
The location, the helpfulness of the staff, the comfy double bed, the silence (despite it being near a ring road).
The side of the bed (not the mattress) was stained or dirty and the phone in my room was not working.
The accommodation was modern and good standard
First of all parking - there was none at the hotel. I looked on the website but got no clarity on where to go so before heading off phoned reception. The receptionist's English was poor. She said there was a multi-storey 'nearby' and that there was some kind of money-off scheme. She couldn't tell me what it was called or give me a postcode or directions (and there were none on the website). There are several multi-storeys around that location and we spent lots of time needlessly driving around - we aren't familiar with Coventry. Eventually we dropped round at the hotel and they were able to direct us. Wifi was very complicated. I wanted it for each of the rooms and wanted to pay on the card (we booked three rooms). That, we were told, wasn't possible at that point and so we agreed to do it when we came back later. Then we had to make separation (and long) transactions for each. When we got to our room and tried to use it, it asked for the network or a name which we hadn't been provided with. We had to phone reception to get it. Again, more time and trouble. The following morning we ordered breakfast, which was quite dear at £9 each. The scrambled eggs were completely dried out and rubbery, which made a nonsense of having an order service rather than a buffet. The layout of the breakfast utensils and food was confusing. Upstairs in the bathroom there were no soaps or other items. All very minimal. All a bit sad, although the accommodation itself was quite modern.
Very comfortable bed. Food in the restaurant lovely. Staff very helpful and polite.
I reported the phone in room not working but it was not acted on.
Location, comfort, ease
Car parking - had to pay £15 as over 24 hours. We booked breakfast but the staff didn't have space on the Sunday morning - the dining area is far too small.
Location Staff Comfortable & Clean Room Value For Money
Good location, in easy walking distance to railway station and attractions.Good breakfast with lots of choice and freshly cooked to order.Stayed on floor 6 and surprised how quiet it was.
Our daughter's room was not directly opposite ours as suggested at the reception desk.Draft from the window extractor with no information to explain how to close it.Luckily the curtains stopped most of it. Only 2 tea bags in the room but reception provided more on request. Some road noice but not enough to keep us awake.
Liked the location of the premier Inn. The room was spacious and the bed and room was very clean and comfortable.
Being a mature couple we found the walk to our room extremely tiring and the fact that there wasn't a mini fridge was nuisance. The mirror ñext to the kettle is bad location and not very practical or hygienic when doing hair or makeup.
Bed linen clean. Beds comfortable. Young man on reception at our arrival, very helpful.
Having to wait nearly an hour for room to be ready. Disgusting smell of urine around the toilet and bathroom floor. Possibly in carpet around the door of room. Reported immediately to reception, dealt with BUT smell did not disappear.
The position of the hotel and the breakfast, included in the room rate.
The heaviness of the duvet. They should invest in a few very light ones.
If you just need a bed in Coventry, Premier Inn delivers. One of the better hotels in Coventry, although options are relatively limited here.
WiFi was not free Paid breakfast not very tasty Atmosphere and location are kind of depressing
Bed was great, and room very quiet, despite being on ring road!
I didn't realise until I got there that the advertised parking was actually a public multi-story next door that you had to pay for. That is twice Booking.com has caught me out like that.
Room size was great, Bed was comfy, no hassle from staff. Easy check in and out.
Car park wasnt fully paid for.. validated for only overnight.. £7 for a place to park is more than i liked, especially given as i arrived only after check in. Frequently woken by lack of soundproof from door. Complimentary wifi would be a perk
Very nice staff, always ready to solve your problems.
I stayed there for a long period of time. They didn't hoover the room or clean the toilet during that time even if I repeated this every week. I guess it's more the problem of the cleaning crew. Also, paid wifi? We are in 2014, first hotel in which it is mandatory to pay for it if you want to use it for more than half an hour.
staff responded well to the complaints, letters were posted under doors high lighting the Non smoking rules. They were also knocking doors on Saturday night, of those making any noise, asking them to keep quiet as others were trying to sleep.
the smell of tobacco and drugs as we walked along the corridor on Saturday morning! My son was woken in the early hours by people returning from a party that was taking place on the 3rd floor of the hotel. We were greeted by a couple fighting as we walked down stairs to breakfast, the police were called.
Very comfortable bed & facilities in the room The politeness of all the staff
The very noisy young people coming in from a music festival at 5:30am on both mornings which continued in the corridors so we decided as we couldn't get back to sleep to get up at 6:30 and have an earlier than planned breakfast! Didn't expect to find two people sleeping in the breakfast room though. Also the smell of smoke wafting through the room and corridors from other bedrooms on our floor (2nd) wasn't pleasant. Realise though a lot of this is outside the hotel staff's control so this would not put us off staying at a Premier Inn again.
Hotels very nice staff are helpful!!
Wireless acces was relatively cheap. Location is extremely well chosen.
Breakfast is never included and very expensive (11-12 € per day is pretty much) and needs to be paid extra every morning. This price is definitely not worth a breakfast where you find toastbread and dry croissants only as "bread". Walls and doors are extremely thin and therfore it is very loud in the room. I could here every person passing through. Because of the ventilation in the window, it is not possible to close it soundproof so it felt as if I was sleeping on instead of next to the Ringway. Something in the room was spreading an intense smell which was bad. (Maybe the carpet or the vinyl in the bathroom?) Cleaning the room during daytime wasn´t really what I expected. Only bed was made and towels were rearranged. Toilet stayed dirty... In my specific room there wasn´t enough light. (Energy saving bulbs are ok, but please make sure there are enough lightpoints) Spoken accents are things that make something a bit more special but if the personal in an international hotel can´t be understood at all it starts to be annoying.
Good Position and comfort bed
There wasn't shampoo in the bedroom :( and staff could be more help full
Within walking distance of City Centre and arcades and major attractions, choice of restaurants of good quality next door, nice staff, spacious rooms, high standard of cleanliness, good breakfast
WiFi is not free, although most phone cads include Internet access anyway; could do with increased manning of reception counter
Only 30 mins free wifi! Primitive!
