Had to repeatedly logon wifi each time phone screen went off
Friendly staff, excellent bathroom/shower, good location for my purposes, cheaper than other Derby hotels that I have stayed at
No significant dislikes
Very friendly staff and reassurance of 24 hour availability. Clean and cosy. Ali supermarket next door a winner
The staff were helpfull at all times.
Had to ask for extra towle's each day as only left for one person but the booking was make for two people.
Excellent hotel staff and luxury style rooms very new and modern
Could not fault the place of anything a power shower would be nice in premier hotels
Clean and comfortable.
Nothing really! If you are planning to go to the hospital it is perfect, city centre! Have no idea!
Pillows a bit hard
Bed comfy room newly refurbished. Decent price
/The room was very well presented. The finish was excellent. Highly recommend the premier inn
Staff Location, Comfort Price
Paid internet, should be free
rooms spacious beds comfy very clean value for money braekfast very good
paying for wi-fi when most places free the beef eater restaurant on the night time was not value for money very poor.
Excellent venue. Staff were great and our kids loved their treats!
Good for families, cater well for small children esp the beefeater across the path, breakfast was excellent, lots of good choice of good food.
Lovely room very clean and great price
The hotel was clean, great welcoming restaurant (Beefeate) next door with smiling staff and good (for the money) food.
On arrival the lady on reception looked miserable and when dealing with the lady in the queue in front of us didn't smile once. When it was our turn she still didn't smile. I gave our surname, yes she had the booking, "oh but this is for one adult and a cot" I explained that I had the booking confirmation email but that my phone was flat so I would need to get into the room to charge it to which she replied "well here's your key, go and see if the children's beds are made up if not let me know and I'll come and do it for you...arggghhh, Booking.com do this all the time, give us the wrong information!" And then followed up with "oh and that means you wont be booked in the restaurant for breakfast either and I don't know if they'll have enough". I replied with " well I hope they do as we've paid for them" receptionist says " as for payment, cash or card" "cash please" "well in that case I'll need a passport or driving licence for security" (still no please, smile, glimmer of personality) Passport handed over, key in hand, we went to the room, gave up on the idea of an early night and went back to reception to advise on no kids beds made up. "We're going to take the children for a drink and something to eat next door so that someone has some time to make the beds up" "Well that'll be me so I'll do it as soon as I can". Thankfully the staff in the restaurant were smiling otherwise I may have thought that Derby was the most miserable place in the UK. On our return an hour or so later the beds were made up but there were still only two towels? Never mind. Top tip..always smile? Its not hard and makes an uncomfy start much more pleasant. Having stayed at plenty of other Premier Inns I know that this is a one off....thankfully or we would not be using them again.
You know what to expect with a Premier Inn - good prices, good quality, 24h check-in etc.. This is a good one, with rooms in a great condition and quiet. Family rooms are huge! Beefeater next door. We stayed here to visit a friend in Loughborough and to go to Alton Towers, it's easily accessible for both.
Only minor point is if you want costa coffee with your breakfast, you had to ask for it specifically, otherwise they point you to the filter coffee on the table. Other Premier Inns we have stayed at recently have normally offered it straightaway, although this was a busier one. But no problem with getting it once we had asked.
Stayed here for an Alton Towers visit. Check in was perfect. Friendly staff. Kids had a "sweet" surprise from finding a fun laminate. All kids probably get this but was a nice touch. Stayed in room 66 on top floor. Breakfast was lovely as its a Carvery type venue. Bed was good... Might even buy one. Only gripe is only one towel for four people.. Could have asked but should really have been four.
Got moaned at by room 64 at 2120 for being noisy! We have two excited kids after a fun packed day at Alton Towers... Lighten up grumpy pants! As others have said, difficult to find.
Staff went above and beyond to help
Pillows was a bit hard
Our 3rd visit and same excellent friendly, helpful service, recently-refurbished room very clean and comfortable with large TV. Aldi store next door is very convenient too!
The staff were friendly and helpful. The corridors and rooms were very quite. That is until you get a guest who forgets there are other people in the rooms early in the am. But they can't help that. The rooms were very clean and comfy.
The water pressure in the shower was so low I had to keep checking that it was on and took longer to rinse soap off. Other than that very good.
Upmarket and modern room, deserves 4 stars. Receptionist so very friendly and helpful, a lovely warm welcome.
Comfortable Clean Quiet Good situation for us Very friendly staff Excellent breakfast
This was excellent as we were going to Alton Towers and needed somewhere to stay.
The staff are friendly & helpful, the room is spacious & comfortable.
We would like to have free WiFi, as provided by most other establishments in our experience.
It was clean, comfortable, had private bathroom, kettle and nice tv. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was quiet and the beds were extremely comfortable.
We forgot our toothbrushes. I don't expect them to be supplied but it would have been nice if I could have purchased some from the vending machine as it was late Sunday and the shops were shut.
