The hotel is ideal for crossing over to Calais on the ferry. We arrived the night before, had a comfortable night, walked to the ferry and crossed as foot passengers to Calais. We hadn't done this for years.
Slightly noisy with people arriving late and leaving early.
I liked that it was: Clean Comfortable Quiet
There was no motorcycle parking space where you can chain the bike to!
The room, the excellent staff who gave us a great welcome and served breakfast in the morning. The excellent breakfast, superb location.
It was all very good.
Just one night. Found the staff to be helpful and pleasent. The room was clean, comfortable and we both slept well.
Lenny Henry is absolutely right about the bed! Great short stay and sleep before early ferry which was just at the end if the road!
The bed was very comfy Rooms very spacious Reception staff very friendly and helpful
I was on the ground floor, and could hear the water draining in the soil pipe in the bathroom from about 5.30am from rooms above. Staff in the restaurant need some customer service training... made to stand for 10mins before I was seated, and service was... adequate Cracked cup in tea facilities in room, should have been checked by housekeeping
The staff helpful and polite and friendly
My husband could not shower or bathe as he couldn't lift his legs into the bath. We stayed for 4nights and was disappointed
Not only did we have a fantastic view of the sea and the ships but we could also easily walk to Dover Castle! Couldn't ask for more! The attached restaurant had lots of choices for dinner and there was also a nice breakfast selection. All in all, a great place to stay.
On 20th September on our return journey from France, I requested a sea view room and was granted this, what a completely different nights sleep. Thank you.
My wife and I booked our rooms in February 2014 asking for a sea view room. when we arrived on 12th September 2014 we were given a room facing the road, The noise was so loud, even with the windows shut. This was our first bad nights sleep.
Great location close to the port of Dover. Nice sea views. Very comfortable and clean. Friendly and helpful staff.
The room, meal deal and ease of access to ferry port. friendly professional staff
Staff friendly and efficient, restaurant on site with reasonable price and selection, perfectly located for the early ferry.
No air conditioning, it won't stop me using this hotel though.
The location was very convenient for the Port and on-site car parking available. The room was well appointed except for the absence of an electric razor point.
The lady at reception booked us in for a meal in the restaurant at 6.45pm. On arrival at the reception point for the restaurant the lady on duty told us that we were booked in for a place at 7.45pm. This was not convenient. This problem applied also to a couple who arrived at the same time as ourselves. The lady at reception confirmed that she had correctly booked us in for a meal at 6.45pm
Lorry noise from unloading ferry
Location, ease of car parking, standard of rooms and amazingly friendly staff.
The bedrooms were really comfortable Food was good at good prices The staff were very friendly and helpful
It was very hot while we were there, and it was impossible to turn the heating off
Helpful friendly Staff. Good refurbishment to rooms, Good value for money.
The rooms were clean and spacious, the bed was very comfortable and the staff were all courteous and personable. It was very quiet, despite the proximity to the main road.
The outside can look like a prison from the rear, but it us by the main road by all the vehicles coming off the ferry.
ideal for ferry
