The bed was just like the adverts absolutely fab. Room was just rite
when we arrived after a long journey the lady at reception could not find us on the system. She said this was fine she would book us into another room. I had booked through booking.com. Then she stated I could not pay by cash unless I had I.d. I would of had my card but had broken it earlier in the week. This wee night away was turning into a nightmare. Eventually this lady found our booking and got booked into our room but I had the hassle of having to get I.d faxed from my work to pay. This was the only thing I did not like about my service. If you cannot pay by cash without I.d can you please state this in your booking.
All the staff are great, friendly and quick to sort out any problems that might arise.
A friendly welcome yet again on check in and just what I expected. Nothing too much trouble for the staff on all levels Allocated a brand new room, absolute luxury. Will return for another stay as soon as we can. Thank you Premier Inn.
On the down side, on the first night of our stay we decided to eat at TableTable. What a disaster. Heating had broken down although we were shown to a smaller dining room which had blow heating. My meal of Salmon with a Bernaise sauce, seasonal vegetables and chips arrived cold and minus the seasonal vegetables and sauce. On complaining they replaced my meal with the same order which I had originally requested. I was offered a starter as way of compensation but I declined this as I would have been unable to eat my main meal. My main meal duly arrived with the seasonal vegetables which turned out to be raw shredded cabbage and the sauce. The presentation of my meal was non existent. It looked as though the chips had been plated, the cabbage thrown on top of these and then the salmon on top of the cabbage. Obviously a lack of seasonal vegetables in the kitchen. The bill duly arrived and they hadn't even had the goodwill to make a deduction of some sort. On payment of the bill I let my feelings known to the waitress who duly spoke to the Manager on duty. She returned and was able to tell me that my meal would be deducted from the bill. A satisfactory outcome eventually but one that should never have happened in the first place. Pull up your socks TableTable. Poor service for the most part and certainly not somewhere I would rush back to for a meal.
On the whole hotel, staff were very efficient
Thursday night, after our meal at 7.20 our dinner plates were not removed from our table, even by the time we retired to our room at 9,15pm which was disappointing.
The simplicity of booking in and checking out.
It was just a bit too far out of town.
location was excellent and the staff very helpful. The room was very comfortable and very clean.
I stay in lots of hotels and B&B's and nearly all provide biscuits, free WiFi and toiletries. In some there are often a range of teas to choose from. I fail to see why Premier Inn can't match this in 2014 - having to pay for internet access is an insult and the biscuits were dropped years ago! - poor show.
Food next door very average
Easy online booking. Reception Staff were very helpful. We arrived a little earlier than the booking in time slot but our room was ready and so we were able to access our room and unpack. Great service. Breakfast in the restaurant as always was first class. Thank you again Premier Inn.
Absolutely nothing to complain about. Building work, decorating etc ongoing but we were foretold about this. No problems at all.
friendliness of staff
poor room qaulity noise around the aroom yup upstairs landing kids screaming at silly times of night poor service in restrurant food was not hot enough
The reception staff handled complaint well & promptly.
The restaurant was poor. They served us frozen food in the evening that had to be refunded. Service was poor at breakfast & the "hot" breakfast was cold. This too had to be refunded. The lack of staff seemed overwhelmed with issues. Will not eat there again. The hotel room was obviously at one stage a family room. However during our stay there was only a bed,one chair and alot of empty space.Only two small towels in the room for a two night stay.Requested 2 extra pillows - they did not arrive. There seems to be a cost saving exercise taking place at the hotel. Very sparse on the tea/coffee/sugar/milk. Perhaps it would be best not to offer this as part of the room package as to look at two sachets of coffee in a dish looks very unwelcoming. No hair dryer in room. Overall not a great stay. Do not accept that "we have to bear with them whilst building works on an extension takes place". Building works opposite should not have a detrimental effect on current guests staying. The P.Inn sign at the entrance is not lit up either - we drove past the building as no front lighting to the drive. Very expensive stay. Disappointed.
room was really clean, staff brilliant Chief drew eyes on boiled eggs as on breakfast leaflet, grandchildren loved this as did other dinner, breakfast was fantastic lots of choices
only one problem bed in room 4 was a bit to hard for me, that's all I find wrong with this place
There is a fire door right outside room 11 you can hear it all the time .just a bit annoying.
I liked the inn a lot, and the small beer gwrden outside, I didn, t eat in the restaurant.the girl on the desk was very efficient, she sorted out our money back refund. no quibble at all, because of guarantee a good nights sleep.
While we were there the roadworks started banging st 6.00 on the friday, & 7.00! Saturday.Very noisy, but staff said they hadn, t been informed breakfast was not very good d.
Quiet location good parking Restaurant great for breakfast and dinner
Creakey floor in hall No soundproofing between ground and first floor No fridge no safe
The size of the room was great and had everything you need for a short stay, the staff was fab.
The only downside I would say is the breakfast at table table was horrid, if the food was nice then I would say it was great value for money but I we didn't like it so can't say that although we had our tea the night before and that was lovely.
They're getting an extra 22 bedooms built, so of course we were dubious of our stay when we pulled up needless to say we went inconvenienced in any way and our stay was superb
Long walk from our room to the reception area. I hope they don't miss a trick by not putting another reception in the new area
location good, but 3 mls from town centre. good restaurant and bar very helpfull staff
Pleasant staff and comfortable rooms. Excellent breakfast.
Quick and friendly service after a long journey. A recommendation to an amazing Italian restaurant, then booking a table and taxi for us.
The daytime noise from the building works. All quiet at night though.
We like premier inns as we know what to expect- comfort, friendly staff and somewhere to eat on site
The lighting- particularly in the bathroom- was very dim- difficult to insert and remove contact lenses and put make up on
restaurant attached was friendly and good value.. staff were very helpful clean and tidy.
Lack of refreshments in room, no tissues/flannels and only 1 small towel.. noisy at times. Front of desk staff could do with being more customer friendly.
The staff were very pleasant and helpful, nothing was to much trouble. Lovely quiet location, ensured a very peaceful nights sleep.
Usually always stay in Premier Inn's..they are what they are - good value, comfortable extremely clean accommodation. Bed comfortable, connecting restaurant, good shower, plenty of parking. Extension being built at present, hopefully given the age of the other rooms they will be getting a facelift.
Nothing really. The room was very warm and there was no air conditioning. The windows do open and there was a fan. The hotel is an older style but looks like it could be in line for a make over. However it was up to the normal Premier Inn standard.
