Colleen on the front desk was the nicest receptionist I have ever come across and all the staff generally were incredibly friendly and helpful and kind. Really quiet and comfortable room with everything you need, and perfect central location.
There is a building nearby being constructed but this was only a temporary and superficial inconvenience - we heard no noise from building at all.
Breakfast. I missed the choice of brown bread, cheese and lean ham instead of fatty bacon.
In a quiet street close to the centre of the town, you are able to walk to the cathedral in minutes.
Closeness to centre and train station and price
Nothing all good
Room was great and quiet, staff was exceptional, breakfast was all we could want.
Dinner menu was too limited, had to pay for wifi longer than 30 min. per day (should have been free), no house phone.
First class breakfast Happy helpful staff
Door key system not reliable room 115
Location, friendly staff
Mattress was uncomfortable
Location Cleanliness Friendly Staff Good foood
The key card was unreliable
Liked all aspects
Nothing to note
I really think in this day and age that ALL hotels should offer free WiFi 24 hrs. If coffee bars etc can do so then it's nonsense that hotel groups think they should charge!
I absolutely loved the lady at the reception. She was warm, welcoming, helpful while remaining always discreet. The quietness of the structure and the coziness of the room added up to the perfect stay.
The meals are great and the staff attentive and friendly. I also like the way the restaurant has been redecorated.
That my room was tidied and the carpet not cleaned!
Large room, great location, friendly staff
LOCATION CLOSE TO RAILWAY STATION GOOD.THE STAFF WERE ON THE WHOLE HELPFUL AND PLEASANT.THE BREAKFAST AND EVENING MEAL WERE ADEQUATE
HAD NEVER PREVIOUSLY STAYED AT PREMIER INN SURPRISED AT THE BASIC ROOMS.NO HAIRDRIER,NO TELEPHONE IN ROOM .IT WAS OBVIOUSLY PRESUMED THAT EVERYONE CARRIES A MOBILE PHONE WITH WHICH TO CONTACT RECEPTION !!!!!!! THE IRONING BOARD WAS OLD AND UNSTABLE AND THE IRON LEAKED.AS THERE ARE NO CONCESSIONS FOR SINGLE OCCUPANCY £90 IS A HIGH PRICE FOR A HOTEL OF THIS STANDARD.
Big room Clean New fittings
Next to building site No vehicle access, you have to park in multi-storey and walk Staff too busy engaging in banter and chit chat with other customers meant slow and frustrating queue. Lots of people go on about friendly staff, they misunderstand the difference between professional and nosy.
the childrens beds not good,
Not enough coat hangers, no drawers only shelves for clothes.
Great location by the river and only a short walk to the major sights. Very comfortable bed and good air-con. Staff very friendly.
Hot element of breakfast a little disappointing eg sausages overcooked.Would prefer a freshly -made- to-order plate as offered in some other Premier Inns.
Excellent location close to city centre and major tourist attractions
Nice large bed. Very friendly staff nothing to much trouble. Excellent for visiting city centre and all major attractions were all within easy walking distance. Lovely choice of breakfast.
The staff...all so helpful and friendly. Food not bad either.
The nightlife outside our hotel window till 3 in morning. Also couldn't get the air conditioning to work properly so we all got very hot.
The young gentleman at reception was lovely & very welcoming even though he was very busy. He even gave us some info & a map for the area. The barmaid was also lovely as well as the cleaner we came across
The bed in 406 had a lump in the window side
Plenty of space in the room. Simply furnished, but everything was there. Very comfortable.
Access was difficult with so many steps. Alternative lifts and walkway were not apparent.
