Staff & location
External building work
Friendliness of staff, decent room for decent price
The staff were the friendliest and most helpful I have experienced in a long time, they were outstanding.
Super nice staff, close to major sights, nice size room, just a wonderful place and great value for the money.
very friendly staff nice rooms free Internet breakfast (many choices)
Welcoming staff and comfortable room. Good location. Good breakfast
Great location, secure parking is immediately next to hotel, great breakfast, large room and friendly welcome.
The staff at the Premiere Inn Durham were great. Really friendly, obviously working well together and the behind the scenes management must be excellent. Well done Premiere.
On arrival I'd paid for 24 hrs Wi-Fi, and checked out at 10:45 am the next day. However, the Wi-Fi didn't work at all in the morning. This was annoying, because the previous evening the Wi-Fi was excellent.
Central location spot on, handy for everywhere you could want to visit.
Thought it was a tad expensive with no breakfast.
The hotel was in a great location and the room was really spacious. The hotel had a bar and restaurant although the food was quite expensive. The staff were on the whole really helpful and friendly and the breakfast was basic but excellent.
The price of the meals and breakfast were quite expensive.
Staff were very friendly and welcoming
Wifi. Should be provided for free The bed mattress wasn't comfortable at all No phone in the room
Comfortable bed, friendly staff at bar and reception
they gave me the room for disabled people (not on my request) and it was so big that it took a lot of time to warm up. I had to pay to use wifi!!!
The staff were very helpful. The breakfast were of a very good standard.
Close to to city centre and railway station, friendly service, great base for a short break visiting Durham University and exploring the city
Not enough tea/coffee left in the room although more could be obtained from reception each day but it meant asking each morning/evening. Shame that the wi-fi allowance was only 30 minutes per day and it wasn't possible to use 15 mins in the morning then 15 mins at night - allowance had to be taken in a single session
Stayed one night. Couldn't get more central in location if you want to roam about Durham itself. Within easy walking distance to the city centre. Paid carpark nearby and underground. Despite the traffic at ring road, the hotel is tucked up in a quiet corner. Very well organised breakfast area even during peak period. The staff were friendly and helpful. A good variety of food at breakfast - Good value for what we paid. Will use this hotel again.
With it being the night before Hallow'en, it got a bit noisy with the pubs when we opened the window while slept - as our room was on the 3rd floor facing the pub and eateries. Perhaps the rooms facing the other side may be quieter (We did ask for a quiet room when we booked!).
Cleanliness and assistance from all staff.at all times. Excellent breakfasts but evening meals information was presented in a complicated manner.
Car parking from external owners with complicated payment system. Information that transport to other parts of Durham was available nearby.
We were a large group but the staff went out of their way to accommodate us and were knowledgeable and informative about sightseeing
Although the rooms were booked for our party the girl at reception still had to find rooms that were close together and although a family room was booked there was only one bed in it. However the situation was soon rectified
the location, close to centre and train station.
could be better if cheaper. glasses have a smell of coffee, but all in all, Good.
Friendliness and helpfulness of staff. They even lent us an umbrella when it was pouring with rain!!
The breakfast staff were wonderful, extremely efficient, professional , friendly, helpful, in particular one member of staff stood out amongst the other waiters, he just simply amazing .
I don't like big mugs for tea !
Location excellent.Steph on reception is an asset to the company
I like the size and comfort of the bed. The room size was good too.
The television was not working well. No wash cloth in bathroom.
the staff at reception were very friendly, even when it was busy. The continental breakfast was varied and the restaurant was good.
As the cost is the same for single, double and triple use, it's definitely convenient for families or couples than for singles. The room was a bit small, and the extra bed took up room unnecessarily, as it was not needed. Also, you can't open the windows (for security reasons).
