Great location by the river and only a short walk to the major sights. Very comfortable bed and good air-con. Staff very friendly.
Hot element of breakfast a little disappointing eg sausages overcooked.Would prefer a freshly -made- to-order plate as offered in some other Premier Inns.
Excellent location close to city centre and major tourist attractions
Nice large bed. Very friendly staff nothing to much trouble. Excellent for visiting city centre and all major attractions were all within easy walking distance. Lovely choice of breakfast.
Location. Eating and shopping outlets all within walking distances.
Dinner at Thymes. Waited about 30 mins for my food to be served and the item not quite what I ordered. Not the wait staff's fault as I think it was the kitchen's.
Excellent location to the old town. Excellent staff, friendly and accommodating. Restaurant food is good for both dinner and breakfast.
Very inconvenient to checking in with luggage. Room is small, beds are hard and shoulders hurting.
On the whole you know what to expect when you stay at a Premier Inn, and the distinguishing factor is the customer service delivered by the staff. In Durham the staff were friendly and professional without exception, at Reception and in the restaurant at breakfast, we were very well looked after at all times.
First time staying in Premier Inn, would highly recommend the one in Durham . Staff were excellent.
In the centre
Not being able to get the deals you see on TV
Good location. Staff were great and very friendly.
Very basic accomodations. No mini fridge, no telephone, no safe and no fitness area. Inn is very basic accomodations.
I liked everything about the facility. The lounge area was great to sit and talk or to meet. The Breakfast was excellent! The staff was top notch. We could walk to almost everything in a short amount of time.
It wasn't as close to the rail station as I was told. We could not walk.
Value, excellent location
Exceptionally clean and quiet, safe Good breakfast Courteous staff
Bed slightly hard
What can I say other than our stay at the hotel was far better than we ever expected. We both enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. Thanks to all the staff.
We were made very welcome.any request that we asked was fulfilled to our satisfaction. Everything was perfect
Location really good. Few minutes walk into centre of Durham. Obviously because of the location we knew it would be noisy but that's not the fault of the hotel andthat's why I haven't put this comment in the other box. Good to have air conditioning in the room because for some reason hotels are always hot!
Room over warm. Windows don't open.
were it was situaited
Once you were in, the rooms were very quiet. Location was very convenient for the centre of Durham.
Finding the car park was impossible until we'd visited the hotel. As usual the bedrooms were too hot despite the air-con. Not as bad as some though.
The room was huge and very comfortable (I was in a disabled access room despite not being disabled and not requesting this) Breakfast was great and good value for money
It was very noisy despite being in a quiet zone. Noise from outside spilled through and I could hear everything from the surrounding rooms. Not great when I was trying to get a good nights sleep before the Great North Run! Extremely expensive!
No cheese for breakfast. :-)
Very friendly staff and super location.
Parking next to the hotel, rates were reasonable and location was good.
The hotel was difficult to find. The bed was hard which was unusual for a premier inn.
It was very friendly and clea also handy for town and sightseeing We used it to have a family trip to Beamish Museum which was also excellent
Comfortable room Nice lounge bar area Excellent location Premier Inn did prove its philosophy of comfy sleep over
Limited Wi-Fi (30 min free only) which seemed not fair for the price of 100 quid per night. No telephone in the room. Relatives stayed in another room so I wanted to communicate to them through internal phone.
