They had a breakfast room but you had to pay for it above the room rate. It was only a short walk to Durham Catherdral. We were traveling by train and it was hard to find the lift. The bathroom was short on towels.

Reception and restaurant staff could not have been more helpful. Easy access to all facilities, the lifts worked well and were always available. Temperature in rooms easy to regulate and everything was in good working order. Possibly more generous with tea, coffee, milk and sugar in the room...but these were readily available if you asked. Breakfast very good but croissants looked unappertising, small, hard and over-brown. Chips in evening meal okayish...just.

While in the U.K. on vacation we really enjoyed the Premier Inn in Durham. The location was excellent, minutes from the center of the city. The breakfast was excellent and the rooms had plenty of space for my family of four.

efficient staff location clean rooms everything you need in room breakfast we were 3 couples buying the same product but we each paid different prices. We paid £97. The other 2 paid £58 and £79. Not very clever as we feel now we were ripped off.

A superb hotel, staff could not have been more friendly. Food was good also The curtains in our room -335-were frayed and faded at the edge. It would be an easy task to fold the edge in and stitch it- just a suggestion .

Very nice welcome with small fish and chips snacks near reception. Super staff nothing too much trouble, always friendly. Clean and tidy. Modern with good facilities. Only gripe paying £18 for parking for 2 nights stay in adjacent car park. Could some discounted arrangement be set up?

Staff were lovely and really helpful. Liked the idea that the bus and train stations were close by and we could travel quite effortlessly. Loved that it was so close the the shops castle and cathedral. On the whole my friend and I thought Durham a lovely city.

Durham is a cathedral city, and the cathedral was impressive, especially as experienced from the quire during evensong. It's a university town and accommodates walkers and bikers well. The walk along the river takes one out of town to the countryside, which is lovely.

Location is perfect. The room was clean and had a large bed The staff gave us opening times for the bar but they didn't stick to them so it was closed earlier than we were told, which was a bit annoying/confusing

This was our first stay at the Premier Inn. The room was large and comfortable, spotlessly clean, and modern. The breakfast was fabulous! The staff were friendly and helpful. We walked from the train station because it looked fairly close on the map. However, it was a very long haul, and the hotel is located down a hill behind Millenium Place, so was hard to locate until some friendly locals pointed us in the right direction!

Extremely friendly and efficient staff especially Coleen on reception. Excellent location. Extremely clean. I feel that wifi should be free. We had to pay an extra £6 for 2 access codes for our sons iPads. This was for 24 hours wifi access. We checked in at 4.30pm and checked out before 11 so I feel this was expensive especially as the room was £85.

Location is great and staff are nice. Bedrooms are large and beds very comfortable. The hotel is not very good value for money. There is evident penny pinching like having soap dispensers instead of soap, which looks cheap and unnecessarily mean, as well as no other toiletries at all or biscuits. It is not that these things are essential but a large hotel chain should make this effort. We stayed at a family run b and b in Harrogate which managed to provide all of these extras and more for much less money. Also it costs £7.70 to leave the car overnight in the car park behind the hotel - this is not cheap especially as many hotels provide free car parking.
