Premier Inn Durham North  

Very helpful receptionist. Good parking. Comfortable mattress. Good shower. Very quiet room.

No lift, as an older couple with suitcases, this was a problem. No alternative bed covering. Duvet much too heavy for summer. Receptionist provided a further flat sheet, I removed duvet from cover and sleapt under three layers of sheeting.

People were really nice

The fact that your staff allowed me to book in early after an exhausting 450 mile trip. They were polite, considerate and caring - In a word - Brilliant

Breakfast in the Dunelm Ridge

Weather, not Premier Inns fault

Comfortable room ideal for a 2 night stay while visiting friends in the area.

That when we checked in the staff member after hearing my children talk about going to Beamish the next day gave us some 25%discount vouchers to use.

We were in room 50 and the room was quite cold as it was at the end of a corridor - not a major issue as children slept in their onesies

The hotel was fine. The staff were polite and friendly. The room was tired but clean enough. We were only there for a few hours litterally to sleep.

The Brewer's fayre which was very close by which was mentionned in the Premier Inn informtation was less that average. We went there for an evening meal while staying at the hotel.The food was poor, the service was average and the price was definitely not below average. I would not reccomend this. The breakfast, I have to say was fine.

However on my arrival I was booked in as a single occupant. My paper work clearly stated 2 adults plus 1 child breakfast included. The receptionist informed me this was not on their booking system. Not sure what she wanted me to do , I think it was more about wanting me to pay for another breakfast. I indicated to her that my contract was with booking.com and as my paperwork stated what I had booked was not prepared to pay more . After a short while she agreed with me. She said she would send somebody up to make up the extra bed. After a 4 hour journey this was the last thing I would have wanted to happen. Therefore making our weekend break not as good as I wanted.

Very friendly staff and eager to help and advise to get to places we wanted to visit, ie Beamish and Seaham and very kindly gave us car directions from the AA route finder on their computer. Our visit into Durham City and tour of the Cathedral were awesome and we thoroughly enjoyed our weekend. All the people were met were very kind and helpful and friendly. There are a lot of young and mature students In Durham and all those we talked to were eager to help in directions etc for places to eat and see.

It was standard Premier Inn quality - good value for money. Excellent breakfast at the Dunelm Ridge. Quick, easy checkin and checkout. Friendly, helpful reception staff. 25% off tickets for Beamish museum.

Nice location to get to Durham and Newcastle. I like the restaurant/pub next door and the buffet breakfast. I like the separate beds for our children and they were made up ready for us - great.

would prefer the childrens beds to be separate from the main bed area, but this is a common fault of hotels in Britain.

Brilliant location

Difficult to exit as the road is very busy going in and out of the Arniston Centre
