Comfortable clean room. Friiendly helpful staff.
Difficulty finding this location as the postcode covers a wide area and sat nav does not find it.
This was our first stay in a Premier Inn. we were impressed by the friendlineess and helpful.ness of the staff. Furthermore, at the end of each day, it was a pleasure to return to such a quiet hotel and comfortable bed. This meant we slept well each night - heaven! We wouldn't heitate to stay in this particular hotel again and recommend it to anyone visiting Durham..
Warm friendly welcome on arrival. Clean comfortable room. Ideal location for Durham City centre.
Quiet room on ground floor, in a quiet zone but noise from above meant wasn't as quiet as expected
Friendly staff Comfortable stay in a good location
Menu in brewers fayre pub next door - chips with everything!
The beds The rooms The staff The breakfast
we have stayed here many times, it is a good location, next to the retail centre and close to both countryside and Durham City this is a convenient place to stay. the staff are very helpful no matter what time of day or night it is.
the room was too warm, and as the windows do not open wide it is difficult to get sufficient fresh air. the discomfort level was raised by the thick duvet, which would have been very welcome in the winter.
Very clean, comfortable and well equipped. The Brewers Fayre on site was very good too with excellent food choices.
We had trouble finding it as our satnav did not recognise the postcode
the food ,the staff the room the bed very comfy
Received a refund for the breakfast I never received.
Waited an hour and half for my breakfast in total after having to request someone to take my order, then again had to ask why I hadn't been served, eventually I walked out without being served.
Breakfast well worth it, good quality food.
Good no frills accommodation. Excellent staff who were very helpful and quiet surroundings.
good value, clean, very close to cathedral
very difficult to locate , even w/ GPS beds hard/springy
Quiet as promised. High bed helpful as I suffer arthritis. Help with luggage as on 1st floor and no lift made all the difference. Security of rooms.
friendly and helpful syaff. good food
not easy to find
Quiet and comfortable
location, staff and cleanliness.
Unlike the premier in Newcastle quayside which has a superb restaurant Durham uses the Brewers restaurant which although satisfactory for breakfast, was disappointing for evening meals.
The Premier Inn
The Reasturant next door where we gave up waiting for a cooked breakfast after an hour, twice. Pre paid waste of money until you have all day doing nothing.
Clean, comfortable bed, good location for driving into Durham, excellent value
Generic feel to the place -- quite large, but to be expected in a budget lodging.
Location nr Arnison shopping centre and convenient for travelling to the Beamish museum site.
Dreadful place to find. You MUST do something about this as we were told it happens all the time. Problem is caused by the postcode in Satnavs. It takes you to the service area of the shops amd there is no way through to the Premierinn. Sainsburys garage have to direct folks all the time. When are you going to get rid of those big, hot duvets at all your sites?
Nice quiet hotel, out of the town centre but easily accessible. Very well located for several local attractions - we stayed here specifically for a visit to Beamish Museum. Was initially a little unsure of the dining arrangements with the Brewers Fayre next door, but shouldn't have been - worked very well!
booked 3 rooms for the family, everone enjoyed their stay
The hotel was in a good location to be just outside of Durham. We were allocated the disabled room even though it was not requested. Unfortunately it did smell like a room from a care home but it was clean. We were only supplied with 2 sachets of tea, coffee, milk and sugar...there was no decaf which is available in all hotels now..and had to go back and request some. The breakfast is excellent but a little on the expensive if all you want is a bowl of cereal.
Very friendly and helpful staff. :-)
Difficulty finding the location?
Rachel was a very helpful and friendly receptionist nothing was too much trouble for her. Lovely, comfortable and clean rooms. Not far to drive to Beamish had a fantastic stay.
