Good bed Friendly staff Good Breakfast
Distance from the town centre - this was billed as a "Town Centre" hotel 800m from the Castle but it is a brisk 20min walk
* right next to a train station * plenty of restaurants/grocery stores in walking distance * comfortable room * good wifi
* expensive breakfast (but good)
great value, clean and modern
Friendly staff at desk. Location great
We praise the helpful friendly Staff who worked together as a team. The location was excellent for exploring the City by foot. Would definitely recommend this 'excellent value for money' hotel.
Friendly staff. Good location.
very good staff
lifts need maintenance, they work pretty loud and it is scary!
Staff were very warm, friendly and helpful
Price did not reflect location, although not really bad its a considerable walk in to the city centre
The location and amenities
The Price. GPB 166 for two nights for two people without breakfast was a bit high.
Liked how was right on front so wasnt far to walk to all shops and train station was just around corner, everything you need is just outside
There was a few noises outside off people walking home drunk late, but wasnt to bad cause its on main street so youd expect that
The staff were EXCELLENT. Really cheerful and helpful. Curtain rail problem fixed quickly with apologies. Surprisingly quiet despite being near a main road.
Bit scruffy. Could do with decorating.
Very friendly and accommodating staff. Great location, right next to Haymarket station, and a short walk from Edinburgh city centre. Clean, spacious room with a very comfortable bed!
Dinner and breakfast deal
Price per night stay and location....a little way from the city centre which would not suit elderly patrons
the staff were sooo helpful, the rooms were nice and had a fan to deal with hot weather, water was hot in bath/shower, food in restaurant beautiful
the bedroom doors could do with not being spring loaded so they slam on entrance and exit...corridors have quiet time but then as people go in thier room doors all slam
The Premier Inn did what it says on the ticket; a fairly convenient place to stay, is clean and comfortable with helpful staff. The room was large enough for two extra single beds, one on the floor. It was better equipped than some with slightly more storage for clothes and mirrors in the right places.
The breakfast was just ok. Usually continental breakfasts have a selection of cold meats and cheese with some whole fruit such as bananas or apples and bread rolls rather than just croissants and mini muffins.
The staff were really helpful and the motel modern and clean
Pillows not great
Staff were very pleasant and nothing was too much trouble. Location was good. Breakfast was very good with a good choice. Room was clean and tidy although there were issues with our room.
Lifts that worked were very slow . Went to the restaurant the first night and there were no seats available. Bed was very hard and had to ask for a duvet to put under the sheet so it was more comfortable.
It had everything I needed and was quiet and comfortable
Just a bit further out of centre than I'd have liked and the area felt a bit rundown so I felt I needed a taxi to return late evening on my own. A bit bare and basic reception area.
Clean, modern, spacious. Great location close to Railway and small convenience stores. Welcoming cosmopolitan feel.
Accepting it was the games it was very expensive. Room tended to be hot. Limited air con was not great.
Good location, comfortable & basic, clean & friendly staff. Convienent parking facilities & not a far walk to city attractions.
Cool in restaurant & bar area, very busy with coach parties. Prob due to high season.
Premier always provides everything you could want or need
Paying for wifi
The beds were so comfortable and the bedroom and public rooms were so clean. Reception staff very pleasant and helpful and welcoming.
There could have been herbal teas in the bedroom. Whilst we appreciate supply and demand must be taken into account, I do feel that the high charges during Festival time is excessive. Could the provision of a safe be considered even at a small cost?
