hotel was very clean and not too far away from centre
staff at front desk were just didnt seem to care ,customer care just didnt seem a priority, very obnoxious
Long walk from main rail station.
Everything was great. We just needed a base and a good bed. We used the bar to relax after a busy day shopping and sightseeing. Perfect for our needs.
Only slimline tonic available for my gin......not the end of the world
Location very convenient for Haymarket Station and new tram route and access to City centre
Nothing not to like
staff always polite and happy to help you with anything
Breakfast staff although lovely too quick to clear your table even though room was quiet and plenty of cutlery and crockery available
Location, friendly staff, clean room with lovely comfy bed
Huge queue and long wait to check in, but it was a busy rugby weekend so I guess it's not usually like that.
Great location close to bus and tram stops and the haymarket train station. The girls on reception were very helpful and approachable as was the lady in charge of housekeeping. Rooms are decent and what you'd expect from a premier inn.
On arrival and check in at approximately 5pm we went up to the room allocated to find it wasn't ready and the cleaner was still in.Went to reception and the man changed us to another room but when we got to the new room it was only a double and we needed a family 2adults and 2 small children! Went back to reception and were changed again back to the original room!! Bar staff were feckless and continually tried to use a broken card machine causing people to wait ages to get served. The restaurant service was ok but had to send one meal back as it was far to over cooked! Breakfast good but staff were few and far between and had to ask for them to clean the highchair before I could put my little girl in as it was covered in dried on food.
Great location and reasonable price! The staffs were very helpful and considerate!
Excellent place to stay great room and bed very comfortable. Very quite we were at the back over looking car park.
The new restaurant had just opened the food was lovely , the location was good near princess street
The ground flor room was a bit chilly but we did get a heater from reception
The room was cold and a little on the small side
my wife had excrement on her trousers from the push button in the toilet which was transferred to her trousers ,which she had to throwaway on telling the night manager gave us a duvet cover to change with the existing one which had the excrement on it ,also 3 of the party ate fish in the bar area and were sick for three days the excuse from the manager was insulting to say the least the daily mirror had an article on the Monday highlighting problems with there fish supplier disgusted room 303 21/11/14
Very helpful staff; great value for money; really comfortable bed; room right beside lift. Appreciated explanation about disruption during refurbishment both at the Premier Inn and nearby.
Being given a Disabled Access room by Booking.Com - I'm told by Premier Inn staff that this happens regularly. Also, had I been aware that booking online directly through Premier Inn's website would've entitled us to our free takeaway breakfast ( we had to leave well before 6.30 ) then I would not have used Booking.Com.
Staff on reception the majority of the time were friendly helpful and professional (if don't take initial contact into account!). Room was comfortable an clean & was big enough for 2 adults women to get ready for a night out.
When initially entering the hotel I found the lady on reception to be very off putting & not hospitable at all. Having spoke to the hotel directly the day before & been told that if arriving early & a room was available then it would be possible to check in early. On entering the reception area of hotel at 13.25 and before even speaking with anyone we were told check in is 2 o'clock & we probably won't even be ready by then so you'll just have to come back later.
Decent location but hard to find in the dark! Close enough to walk to princes street. Spacious rooms
Work going off overnight outside so very noisy! Didnt get much sleep over the 2nights. Receptionist got the booking payment wrong & we were waiting about for a while. The restaurant times were very limited and the chef was already in his tracksuit ready to go home before 10pm!
Spacious room Friendly and helpful staff Comfortable bed
Breakfast was great, rooms were clean and comfortable, staff were friendly and helpful-exceeded our expectations for the money we paid.
warm welcome from Graham on arrival. Nice clean comfortable room. Lovely breakfast. Lovely staff. About 8 minute walk to Princes Street.
Staff were very pleasant.
Room was cold..
Nice staff, my bed was comfy, rate for family room was reasonable, breakfast tasty and free for kids which made it great value
One of the spare beds was really uncomfortable so daughter wouldn't sleep on it, system for seating people for breakfast was terrible - people waiting for over 15mins there were 4-5 empty tables I could see the whole time we were eating - crazy!
Very good value for Edinburgh.
Location was great for both rugby and nightlife
Not all rooms were available and ready at pre-communicated check-in time.
The hotel was in a very good location for sightseeing. Extremely helpful having own car park.
TV adverts emphasise a comfortable bed - something went horribly wrong with ours. We experienced two terrible nights sleep. We requested a disabled bedroom but were alarmed to find out this was not placed on the ground floor. How would a disabled person get down stairs in the event of a fire?
Absolutely everything, the spacious room and bathroom, comfortable beds, friendly and helpful reception staff, the location close to Lothian Road and Tollcross pubs, handy for bus and tram to airport. Didn't have time for breakfast so can't comment on the food
It was a really good located hotel, staff very help & friendly
