In all premier inns I have stayed in across the country the staff were outstanding, polite, pleasant all round excellent. In particular Freya, Douglas, kassandra on reception, waiting on staff Elina.Lee and tam. Food deal was fabulous.
Only thing is rooms very hot, fan helped slightly.
Location was great. Having a restaurant in the hotel was good. Breakfast was typical English breakfast. Staff was pleasant. Rooms were adequate.
No close parking. Expensive for what was provided.
Staff were very helpful and were excellent
Not enough parking nearby
Because of the festival I was a bit worried about the hotel being too far away but it was a relief getting there. Very good location, very comfortable beds and rooms, very friendly staff and excellent service. Also the food in the restaurant was really good.
our room backed onto the rear of the hotel. also ajoining hotels .noise was bad at times late on with people out side .plus early in morning when deliverys arrive dont expect a le in.no staff at desk in mornning waiting to check out.plus parking is a pain.
Staff excellent, very friendly and helpful. Breakfast excellent, well presented and well cooked.
Location and cost was fair, close to train station and visitor attractions.
During Fringe Festival, firework display.....and early arrival of refuse lorries in the morning if you have a back room. Lorries arrived at 0710...very noisy.
Staff were helpful and room was clean.
Staff very helpful (Rachael very nice on book in ) Good location for all your needs . A clean and pleasant place to stay . breakfast good value if you have teenagers ,the beds i found to be very hard and not much ventilation in room. I will be booking again for next year .
Beds very hard

Staff friendly and more than helpful. Clean, spacious rooms and a great base for all the city attractions. Nice to have use of bar as a meeting place. Lots of restaurants and bars close walking distance. Would recommend and use again.
Food very basic/ fast food style.... Not to our taste. Chose to eat breakfast out as better value.
Good central location. Comfortable, peaceful retreat after long days out in edinburgh
Car parking adds quite a lot to the stay
Two fans in the room, very spacious, huge bed, the evening meal was lovely
No parking in or near the hotel. It took 45 minutes to find the parking in the hotel. Rooms have no view
They keep your luggage for free while you're away. So, you can easily check out, go on tour for a few days, come back, and check in again, without paying any fees.
They don't have a safe in the room, although they have one in reception and can keep your personal belongings there, but you can't access it. You just ask to put something there, and then retrieve it when you want.
The location close to Grass Market, Princes St., and Edinburgh Castle.
There are few parking options--on street parking is metered. A parking facility is a block away and offers hotel guests a reduced rate but it is still expensive and 12GBP daily.
bed and pillow is good for sleep but all other room essential are not available.
free wifi only available for 30 mins and even if you try to log in but finally didnot use imm for 30 mins you will lose the right to enjoy this free service. seems not user friendly and considerate.
Bathroom a little tired
I did not like that there was a sticky spillage in the lift when we arrived on Friday and was still there on monday when checking out..asked twice at reception to get it sorted but unfortunately it did not happen....apart from dat it was nice.....
Easy walking distance to the Castle, Grassmarket and Greyfriars Kirkyard. Staff know the area well and will point you in right direction.
The pushing of the meal deals in the restaurant, these should be explained and booked whilst checking in, not while your trying to order your meal, also I only need to be asked once if my meal is okay, not 6 times as I was one evening.
easy to walk to tourist locations from hotel. Front desk staff was very helpful- stored our bags for us, called taxi for us. Manager was very nice to get extention cord for my CPAP machine.
room was not ready when we arrived, although we were early for check in. Would not allow my children to put dinner on our room charge (I was sick and did not come down). no room service. Outlet for my CPAP was across the room, so needed to get extention cord from manager.
Great staff,nice place,good position,good breakfast,good bedrooms!
The rooms were comfortable, quiet and it was an enjoyable nights sleep.the breakfast was good.
The lifts were very slow.
Staff very helpful
Very impressed with the breakfast choices.
We had a loud banging noise in our room from 4am to 6am (came from box above lights in bathroom) kept us awake. My husband recorded it and let reception hear it in the morning. They said they would look into it but no offer of compensation. :(
