The location of the hotel is great, really close to waverley train station and there is a bus station infront of the hotel. The castle and the old town is close by walking (app.15 min), the room was clean and the staff was really helpfull. I'll definitely suggest this hotel according to the money you paid and the service you get.

The front desk staff was very helpful and welcoming, both when we arrived and as we checked out. They held our luggage until we were ready to take our train, too. The room was a great size and the bed was extremely comfortable. You can't beat the location, either - right in the centre of the shopping area, with a gorgeous view of Edinburgh Castle. It must be a UK thing, but when I asked for some face cloths, they said they don't provide those. I had to purchase some at the drugstore.

A great hotel in the middle of the city, with view (if you a lucky to get a room facing it) to the amazing castle. Great location for visiting the city. Good breakfast with first class yogurt available! Child friendly. Breakfast was very poorly organized for such a big hotel. People had to queue for the hot food to be ready. Parking is not easy but is discounted if you park in the parking garage next to the

Very friendly staff. Excellent breakfast with freshly cooked food available right up until the 'official' end time. Great location in relation to all the attractions and great access to public transport. Slight hiccup with booking system which indicated to staff that I was a lone traveller rather than a family as booked so additional beds not make up which took a while to resolve. Lack of access to the hotel for loading/unloading of luggage.

I liked the location and staff was friendly. Also liked play area for kids in park between hotel and castle. We didn't like the kitchen service. They were an hour behind and food was burnt.

Location was great, right on Princes Street, which is just behind Rose St. Where all the pubs, restaurants are. Very convenient, we had lunch and dinner in the area every day. It is around 15 minutes by foot from the Royal Mile, very good location! 30 mins of free internet was nice too, although in Edinburgh you get free WiFi pretty much everywhere, especially in the pubs. Brilliant. We were happy with the hotel, but it would be nice to have at least some cheap soap-shampoo bottle/kit as in most hotels. There was only soap in the bathtub, but if you want to use proper shampoo or conditioner, forget about it!

Location and staff were excellent. The bed was terrible, some how we got put in a disabled room which was fine apart from the bed, I feel sorry for any disabled who would have to use it.

Just spent Easter here ideal spot facing the castle, everything you would want is walking distance, spotless hotel friendly staff good breakfast cooked or continental. Bar prices are a bit steep £3.60 for a half pint bottle of lager £13.50 a bottle of house red so if you take a drink take plenty of cash apart from that though everything else is very good.

Excellent location and value for money. Has a left luggage room and labelling of items left their. The electrical distribution box buzzed quite loudly - but we just took the key card out of the activation slot at night whilst sleeping and this sorted the problem!
